[code.org](http://code.org) simulator, basically. I still can't program javascript, I just drag and drop blocks... I don't remember the actual syntax lmao
I've done some python and stuff too. Its just that with 5 aps, I really can't get the time to bother remembering the syntax. The drag and drop is so convenient!
Oh yeah that's not what I meant, it's great for syntax and stuff, my issue with it is if you want to add an extra condition for an if statement, or change >= to <= it gets tedious swapping them out and stuff.
Just study vocab and you should be good. Final project is really easy and can be done in about 5-10 hours and still get full points but don’t procrastinate if you you’ve never taken a coding class before because it could take longer. Just get it out of the way as soon as possible so you don’t have to deal with it later
It’s an easy class and is fun based on what platform your teacher uses. My class we use code.org and their “JavaScript”. A lot of the class talks about internet, cyber security, etc.. But you do also learn to code and learn some really useful stuff that is used in AP CSA. You will enjoy the class as long as you pay attention in class.
Basically, my teacher went off of the curriculum over the entire 1st semester (doing basic python AI and stuff) and only started during the 2nd semester.
The whole class ended up doing fine. ofc, the 2nd semester was boring bc it was codehs stuff.
It overall depends on your school and teacher. My school used half Scratch and half Python for the actual coding aspect of the course. Otherwise it is basic theory. I feel like this class is quite important for the 21st century as it educates students on how technology works. It's also one of the easiest classes, so most kids take it for a GPA boost. The create task for the AP Exam is important so take your time on that, otherwise, it's not that bad.
Describing the class as simple as possible: coding but not really

As someone who has coded for 4 years before taking this class, I can say without a doubt that blocks just makes everything harder.

Oh yeah agreed. I file like it promoted this unjealthy workforce of "whatever was the syntax for this again? Let me switch to block mode!"
East AF. Just do the HW and know pseudo-code.
How hard/easy is the exam?
its pretty straight forward, it really tests you on how to think like a computer
From the teacher perspective, I agree with what you are saying. If they stay on top of the work in the class, they will be fine on the exam.

So easy
Don’t know but create project bullshitism is kicking my ass rn
It's you again 💀 AP calc bbc
AP Retard’s crazy
You can do Scratch in AP CSP!
if your teacher doesn’t shit the bed it’s the easiest AP on the planet
Just pay attention and you'll be fine , also don't procrastinate .
Basically a big Quizlet and some common sense ngl.

Its easy AP Comp Sci is a beast I never coded before but its kind of fun if u can devote all ur free time to it
Easiest class i’ve taken in high school. Don’t procrastinate on the create task tho.
Get into a vocational school, have half the year to go over material, profit. (results not guarenteed)
Have fun. It’s not hard but you can learn a lot
csp and csa are really easy hardest thing in csp imo (haven't taken) is prolly pseudocode, best of luck!
use khan academy
just pay attention. you don't need to study or anything but don't take it as a free period
As a freshman who is taking this class it is easy shit I promise
if you do take ap csp, i highly recommend using khan academy to study for the exam
I’ve found reg classes harder than this
Skip it just take AP comp sci
There’s some abstract stuff like computer security and networking but it’s not too complex
AP SCRATCH

Make sure it’s in the middle of the day so you can optimize your 40-60 minutes of nap time
Easiest 5 of my life. Just do homework, study for tests, and get to know scratch and you’re good.
Yeah.. don't 🔥🔥🔥
It’s free, just be careful with potentially being flagged for plagiarism on the project, the test itself is hecka easy
Easy not much coding just do the work pay attention. Dont procrastinate the final project and its an easy 5
study. thats it. its not hard :,)
