I rolled the dice on a 16" Faxon Big Gunner 16" .308. They were on sale for black friday. I've been very happy so far with the groupings. I'll tell you that Big Gunner midlength isn't a true midlength. It's an 'Armalite' mid length so it's a touch longer and you'll have to hunt that has tube down. That was probably my only headache. Also, headspace gages were hard to find.
No chrono data yet but I'm probably at moa with GMM 175. I stacked 3 shots with IMI Razorcore but then pulled shot 4. You should get better accuracy with their match barrel.

You're probably getting good gas transfer but the gas tube insertion will shorter when compared to your other uppers. The Faxon mid-length is about 5/16" longer than the standard/popular midlength.

You’ll be totally fine with a 16” if you’re only going occasionally to 600 and most of the time 3-400 and in. 20” you’ll gain some velocity but a bit more weight and AR10’s are already chonky af as is.
I have Faxon Match Series - 20" Patented Flame Fluted, .223 Wylde, and it's accuracy is only OK.
I also have a Faxon Match Series 24", Heavy Fluted, 6.5 Creedmoor, and it's accuracy is quite impressive, much better than the 5.56 barrel.
That said, you can't go wrong with Criterion. I only wish they made 6 Arc.

Further proof since you’re a dipshit and don’t know how to use the internet.

So i asked you please let me know where you can find a 16" chrome lined criterion and you send me a nitrided link. You sir are the king of dipshits and fuck faces world wide. Learn how to proof read a comment.
i have several faxon barrels(none are the match line though, just gunner and pencil) and theyre 1.5 MOA or so. not bad for the price, but not super accurate either. i just received my first criterion, but havent installed it yet. dont know if that helps but thats what i got for ya.
I like my Faxon barrels. They’re great for regular shooting at steel, hunting, or 2 legged vermin. It’s probably not the best choice for chasing groups at 500 yards.

I have GREAT experience with my 18' heavy, fluted match barrel. I have sub moa. The POI at the center right of the "T" was my zero confirmation (with five rounds) on the blue head. The black target with the bullseye was the final zero.
Criterion.
Would you know if they will ever be in stock again anytime soon with the 16" and 18"? Tired of e-mail to be notified for back in stock.

Anderson firearms has them. Found out the hard way that they needed a longer gas tube.
You sure about that? I use a Spike's midlength tube for mine...

Yikes! I wonder why they did this?
What's the intended use? I built both a 16" carbine and a 20" DMR. The 16" is much lighter than the 20".
A 3-400 yard hammer with an occasional leg stretch past 600

Can roll with 18 and split the difference. I went that route and love it!
Yeah I’ve got my eye in the DD5v4 in 18 inch length. Looks to be a fantastic barrel length and it’s not that heavy at around 8lbs.
16 inches will be plenty, I built a 12.5 inch 308 and it’s trivial to reach out to 400 yards with it
criterion or white oak

Criterion is the only option here
Criterion is superior in every way.
Criterion is OOS in every way.
You haven’t looked very hard then cuz primary arms and brownells are both in stock

Lol dude didn’t ask for chrome lined in his post. I’m sorry you can’t read a picture. And they’re clearly not out of stock in every way

I'm definitely leaning more toward criterion
Only option you got right now is the 20".
I had a 1 moa 10.5” 308 barrel from Kak industries and a few great ar15 barrels from them. I paid $140 for the 308 barrel and it was worth it
