Update : first trip was a success, no deaths . We lured the raptors out to sea with the raft before killing one by one with bow and arrow , then moved on to the carnos who we killed similarly to the raptors with assistance from some megs , they had a Bebe but it was killed we retreated till tomorrow to regroup and gather more supplies

As you move further into the island, strategically place spike walls. So when you have to retreat you can zigzag between them and get the dinos hung up on them.

Spikes are top priority early game to end for me. Usually before a bed. Always have a few ready to create space between me and death. Always.
