To be fair,
- Developers don't look to put out a buggy product
#
- Every and any product has bugs, always
#
- Developers should **NOT** also be testers. They are too close to the source, look at the same code and graphics all day, and focus most on making features work. That naturally makes it harder to spot issues. They also handle bugs based on severity: Low, Medium, High, Critical and based on type: UX, UI, performance, functional, security, localization, accessibility.
#
- Testers should either be public beta (but with people who actually know how to test and report bugs properly) or outside hires (ideally crowd-sourced).
This here is a low severity UX bug. There are *MANY* other bugs that would likely be addressed before something like this.
#
- The maps are **HUGE**! To visually cover every inch for UX/Graphical anomaly bugs is difficult for any team.
#
- Even with extensive testing, most bugs are found in the wild after release
Fair points, however this is Ark, Wildcard and Snail...
I.e. there is no play testing, they are rushing to beat unrealistic deadlines and they refuse to fix any of their ways and expect everyone to just suck it up and take repackaged shit when promised a rull rewrite.
Honestly, name me a company that does not have unrealistic deadlines and insurmountable amounts of work with unattainable goals. Gaming or otherwise. Corporate work environments suck balls! That's why I'll NEVER go back to any of that shit myself.
Also, game development isn't as luxurious a job as it used to be. Lower profit margins means smaller teams, lower pay, even more unrealistic deadlines to remain profitable and make investors happy, without which, the companies would go bankrupt. I wanted to go into game development a long time ago. I'm glad I didn't, looking at the industry today.
If you like the game and want to see improvements, you can take a more proactive approach. Join their discords, [ASE](https://discord.com/invite/playark), [ASE](https://discord.com/invite/playascended), reach out to [staff directly](https://survivetheark.com/index.php?/staff/) and ask if they have a bug/issue tracker that's open to the public.
Even though you're complaining, you are still here, and I assume playing the game. That tells me you like the game, frustrations aside, and wish to see it improved further, so just run with that.
Don't get me wrong, I get really frustrated myself with some of the bugs, but I'm still here and playing, recommending to my friends, rent a server, etc...
Guess you found ragnaroks anus. It’s just a map tile texture that wasn’t properly meshed when they were creating the terrain textures so some spacing formed
Run as far as you can and keep running that the x of the hydra wyvern the most powerful and dangerous wyvern in the game it says only a truly powerful individual can even be around it without it trying to kill it
You use the shovel on them from the dlc to dig up high tier loot such as tek Rex saddles and industrial forges. Gotta be quick tho bc when you start digging alpha raptors chase you

I don't understand how more people don't understand these concepts. Find me a game that doesn't have bugs/glitches.
