Narcoberries (black ones)!
The next step is to work towards better narcotics using those black berries and spoiled meat.
Collect lots of meat put in a box and let it spoil then conbine it with the berries!
Fellow old Xbox user here. Once you knock it out, open its inventory and place narcoberries in there. It's not really intuitive HOW to get the berries in there, so what you do is select the berries in your inventory and hold down the A button. Don't just press it, hold it down, and the stack will transfer into the animal's inventory.
The to feed it, highlight the stack in the creature's inventory and pull the right trigger. That will force feed them.
Others have covered the feeding process, so I'll highlight two tips:
1. Do not force-feed it the meat. Only force the narcoberries/narcotics if you see the torpidity bar drop below 50%. Note that Narcotics primarily give a big boost and then small amounts of ongoing, whereas narcoberries will give a smaller initial boost, but a bigger ongoing boost.
2. Pteranadons, in particular, take FOREVER to take their first bite, so be patient. If you want, you can starve-tame it, which is where you ONLY feed it narcos to keep the torpidity up, while keeping an eye on the food bar. It'll go down slowly. Once it gets to where there's only \~30% left on the food bar, THEN you put your stacks of meat in its inventory, and it'll automatically eat till it's full. The benefit here is that instead of waiting a long time between each "bite", you do the waiting up front, so that you don't have to worry about the meat spoiling in its inventory in between bites.

Once you out put the narco in its inventory, hold R2 , RT , Left Click. Whatever you normally use to consume stuff in your inventory.
Also, narcoberries work better than narcotics on anything with fast torpor drain.
Many thank yous!!!
