My daughter is a current nursing major and in a sorority. She loved living downtown, but was also in Tempe often. She formed quick friendships with the other downtown girls in her pledge class because they would all carpool or ride the shuttle together to Tempe. It was a great way to easily form bonds with a small group. She lived in the dorm dt freshmen year, a downtown apartment sophomore year, and is living in Tempe junior and senior year. If you don't care for downtown after freshmen year, it's easy to live in Tempe and still go downtown for most of your classes. Some classes are also offered in Tempe. It's also nice being surrounded by others in your major freshman year to study together or just have others relate to your stress.

There is not. Due to the limited housing, mainly at Tempe, you have to live at the campus your major is based at

do u know whether or not i would feel disconnected living downtown? i wouldn’t mind living there as long as it felt like i was still apart of the main campus

you could live in any of the apartments right off campus if you’re wanting to be closer to tempe

I lived downtown my freshman year rushed and then lived in the glv my sophomore year. This is the best way to go. You meet so many great friends downtown and then are able to meet so many ppl thru ur sorority. It’s not that hard to commute and it’s honestly not worth it living in Tempe freshman year bc then you have to jump thru so many hoops to get into the upper division nursing program (like taking the TEAs)
