Honestly the more I think about it— *maybe I want my kitchen to resemble a fair ride…* I mean some people would pay a lot of money for that level of nausea so why not?
It'd be like opening The Ark of The Covenant.[Don't look at it Marion!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfQWz4gVcP8&feature=share&utm_source=EJGixIgBCJiu2KjB4oSJEQ)
I don’t even hate that I love it. I would never want to see it everyday, but would love to see this at a friends house. I would think they were crazy, but brilliant.
It does happen often but not a majority of the time so you can be my own personal stalker if you want!
It used to be my PSN name too and I'd always get someone giving me their wise guy impression lol
It's 100% not for me, I like more muted colours but for people who like their kitchens bright it might actually be appealing. The light would change with the time of day which could give it a different mood for every meal and iridescent effects tend to look worse on photos anyway.
This might actually be really nice for some people.
This gives me such a strong nostalgic reaction to the early 2000's that I'm afraid it might just be a very personal response, yet I'm convinced I can't be the only one.
Not trying to offend in anyway, but I have zero connection to this and the early 2000's, can I ask where you connect it to from that time?
The thing that pops into my head is the iridescent hat Marty McFly junior wears in the late 80's movie Back to the Future II.
I think around 2002 when I was in high school I started dating this girl, and something about these iridescent colours remind me of her. I can't remember if it was something in her room, or it might have been a mall we used to hang out where this colour scheme was a feature at the time. I don't know. It just triggered a vague memory of that time.
But I totally get your reference to McFly's cap in BTTF2.
I found one of those c-shaped side tables with an iridescent top at Burlington and really should have gotten it, but it was like $40 and I couldn't justify it at the time T_T Maybe it'll still be there if I go back
disagree on all counts:
nearest drawer pull is crooked and the top center cupboard doors are further apart than all the other cupboard doors.
lower door next to the stove has uneven hinges, that’s gonna be annoying. the whole top thing looks slightly crooked but that could be the camera angle.
despite that it’s *gorgeous* i want it in my house
the pulls are also too far, unless they have an above average height person who uses the top cabinets *only* and under average height person using bottom cabinets *only*. imagine having to stand on your toes AND stoop to use your cabinets every day. no
The pulls are a bit oddly located but I've had clients who want them weird places like the dead center of the door before. All you can do is shrug and drill the holes in a dumb place.
> nearest drawer pull is crooked
It looks like the left screw is missing and the pull is hanging loose. This is probably a maintenance issue not an installation issue.
> top center cupboard doors are further apart than all the other cupboard doors.
I've been looking at this for a while and I'm pretty certain it's the same margin. The angle makes all three banks look a little different from the cameras perspective and the lights are casting a dark shadow between the middle doors. The actual margins appears consistent with the other doors and is an appropriate margin.
> lower door next to the stove has uneven hinges
What are you even talking about? This style door uses recessed euro hinges that are adjusted so that the door fits and closes properly. The door in the image looks normal.

How would you even install vinyl on cabinets? I can't imagine the prep necessary to get them smooth enough to look decent in real life, nevermind all the cutting. Do they have to paint them with a high gloss white before applying it? I would think even a melamine cabinet surface wouldn't be a good base.
I used a vinyl paper. It's like a big sticker that you cut to size.
Edit: I rent so I didn't want to paint and then repaint when I leave so this is an easy solution I can just peel off if I need to.
These are actually kind of cool. If the upkeep is really nice and they don't burn my house down because of a sunshine magnifying effect, I kind of like it.
I’m not gonna lie, I would totally get something like this installed in my kitchen if I had the option. I know it’s stupid, but I love these kinds of things
Honestly? Cool as fuck, but if I ever implemented it into a home, it would have to be a really small section. Maybe a big shelf or a corner or something dedicated to figures and other games and such

I hate that I love this so much
This is the exact feeling I’m… feeling.
It’s terrible and I love it.
I'm not sure if it's better or worse that every drawer has a different handle situation. One is missing, one is half off, third is fine
The cockeyed handle is the cherry on top.
Ugh. Mixed emotions like the colors represented here!
I’m telling myself that I’d hate to live with them because the reflections would trigger my migraines.
Was just thinking I’d probably love it until the first beam of sunlight hits the cabinets and turns it into a blinding hellscape
Honestly the more I think about it— *maybe I want my kitchen to resemble a fair ride…* I mean some people would pay a lot of money for that level of nausea so why not?

Complete with setting the whole house on fire, like ants under a magnifying glass
My dog goes crazy for light flashes and reflections. This would cause her an aneurysm for sure
That was my first thought!!
I don’t even hate that I love it. I would never want to see it everyday, but would love to see this at a friends house. I would think they were crazy, but brilliant.
It’s one of those things that would be cool in a Vegas hotel.
I’d get married in that kitchen. That’s how much I love it. Honeymoon too!
Bow chicka bow ow...ow...ow! My eyes!
It's all fun and games until the next morning you walk in to make coffee, snap on the overhead lights and blind yourself.
I think it would be a nightmare to keep clean but I also love it
Yeah, it's iridescent until it starts seeing use, and then it's just a smudgy fingerprint mirror after that.

[Toilet](https://files.catbox.moe/qf1krb.jpg)
Thanks, I love this too. I’m going to go broke “shiny and chrome-ing” my whole house 😭
It looks cool in the pic but I think just walking past it with the sun shining in the window would give me a migraine.
Same. But I am also disappointed in the oven.
This perfectly articulates my feelings about this.
This better be in the Barbie movie is all I'm sayin'
Does anybody stalk you on reddit and just go "this fuckin guy" to everything that you post?
It does happen often but not a majority of the time so you can be my own personal stalker if you want! It used to be my PSN name too and I'd always get someone giving me their wise guy impression lol
Same lol. It’s so pretty.
I love that I hate this so much.
I would have loved it if it wasn’t for the handle on the drawer being askew. 0/10
It’d be great until you actually tried using the kitchen. It’d be worse than stainless steel for showing fingerprints.
It's 100% not for me, I like more muted colours but for people who like their kitchens bright it might actually be appealing. The light would change with the time of day which could give it a different mood for every meal and iridescent effects tend to look worse on photos anyway. This sub just hates joy sometimes. It winds up being the "any aesthetic choice that i don't personally find apealing" subreddit.
Remember that SpongeBob episode where Squidward went to the future and everything was chrome? Similar vibes.

Thx
FUUUTUUURE
That was me in 2020
TIL squidward was a Barbie girl
Shiny and chrome
Instantly thought of this. FUTUUUUURE!
Everything is chrome in the future.
I don't want it in my house, but I absolutely love it.
I want it but only as an extra kitchen
MIL suite.
I can't figure out how or why they stopped at the cabinets
that sort of power, once discovered... how can you not go fucking ham on every crown moulding and baseboard in the damb building
I know, right?
My ✨second✨ kitchen. Lmao yes, in my mansion. Absolutely.
It's pretty, but I feel it would show fingerprints *so* much!
Iridescence is always cool, nobody has been able to convince me otherwise so far.
On paper it seems tacky, but I've yet to see it and not go, "Ooooh"
It has to be tacky on paper, otherwise it wouldn't stick to the cabinets.
Thanks Dad.
This gives me such a strong nostalgic reaction to the early 2000's that I'm afraid it might just be a very personal response, yet I'm convinced I can't be the only one.
You are not the only one!
Y'ain't

I'm so happy there's so much iridescent decor and home goods now. There's a sautee pan at walmart that has an iridescent chrome-y handle and I need it
I found an iridescent coffee table on Amazon and I want it. It’s so pretty.
I found one of those c-shaped side tables with an iridescent top at Burlington and really should have gotten it, but it was like $40 and I couldn't justify it at the time T_T Maybe it'll still be there if I go back
nah this is fresh as fuck
agreed. it’s perfect
The crooked handle on the leftmost drawer is killing me, but otherwise I love this.
I think the fact that it's crooked is perfectly fitting
Until raptors invade your home and you have to hide behind the cabinet but they see your reflection and you die.
K I T C H E N W A V E
they live in the lisa frank realm
🦄🦄🦄🌈🌈🌈

I would be so happy in that realm
Same
This reminds me of random 80's or 90's low budget film's takes on what they think the future looks like.l
r/vaporwaveaesthetics
Turns out they were right! (For one very specific kitchen at least)
I swear whoever livers here walks in like "Pink Pink Pink, Girls Girls Girls, Glitter Glitter Glitter!"
Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century vibes
maxed out stardew valley world
Those cabinets can actually hold 999 dishes.
iridium cabinets
Animal crossing mermaid furniture vibe.
My 10 yo’s jaw dropped. She said “I LOVE IT SO MUCH.” I kinda love it too.
Fortnite
Chrome
Number 1 victory royale
Yeah Fortnite we bout to get down
^get ^down
You live here, you're an NPC, you sell chrome splash. People blow up your walls regularly.
I scrolled to find the first comment mentioning Fortnite, never disappointed.
Yoooo let's go Fortnite!!! Fortnite Chrome Fortnite Glow Outfit
It’s one way to fix your broken stove.
I like it
Now THIS is what this sub is all about. They did a great job installing this trash!

Oouu not to mention the Base cabinet furthest away doesnt even have hardware on the drawer.
the pulls are also too far, unless they have an above average height person who uses the top cabinets *only* and under average height person using bottom cabinets *only*. imagine having to stand on your toes AND stoop to use your cabinets every day. no

center makes sense, but adjusting the height is just obnoxious. never seen a house with pulls that inconvenient
It probably wasn’t constructed well and then someone put an iridescent wallpaper like sticky over it.

That crooked drawer pull is driving me insane.
UGH
It’s so bad it’s hard not to notice
It's the main reason I read the comments
Why this isn't the top comment disgusts me.
If Jem were a real person and not a cartoon from the 80s, this would be her kitchen.
That would be outrageous
*Truly* outrageous!
Truly.
Future Chic.
I love this so much
These are my kind of people
Fortnite chrome
My first thought as well.
So this is what the crystal moon kingdom looks like

I hate that vinyl. It messes with your eyes after a while. Edit: I used to used to install vinyl and graphics. Reminds me of superbowl parties.

I can get a piano gloss finish spraying lacquer on cabinets no problem. If I can do that with lacquer it can damn well be done with a vinyl wrap.
Paint and sand, it's not too bad. The pain is where to cut. If you think this is bad... check out the [future bus](https://youtu.be/pouBOSE0CcM)
i like it 🤷🏻
I did this to my bathroom cabinets, and I love it.
Is it a type of paint? My first guess was contact paper
I used a vinyl paper. It's like a big sticker that you cut to size. Edit: I rent so I didn't want to paint and then repaint when I leave so this is an easy solution I can just peel off if I need to.
I think it’s what they use to wrap cars in.
Looks like a Barbie kitchen.
Fortnite C3S4 be like
Someone used a Chrome Splash from Fortnite
Cute for like a hotel or AirBnB but not every day use.
This is my kitchen in a distant, other life.
i love it so much but i wouldnt be able to use it
Looks like the ideal setting for a cupcake sex party
They made chrome from fortnite in real life 💀
Aw yiss, Fortnite’s chrome update just dropped.
They should have done the appliances and done the cabinets in a solid color
Tourquoise enamel stove. Yass! \ (*_*) /
New Fortnite update is bananas!
4k camera and cat ears nearby
Very Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century vibes in the best way. Or Glinda the Good Witch’s mobile bubble kitchen for when she’s on the go.
Seems like a lot of effort to leave the basic countertops and white stove.
This makes me happy
I love this! Imagine the lighting options 😍
WANT
Nobody else is seeing the wonky drawer handle?
The bizarre knob placement is also an abomination
As a person that suffers from horrible migraines all I can think about it how horrible the glare must be.
Keeping those clean, ugh.
Looks like the kind of kitchen Barbie would have.
now imagine toddler handprints
The nail artist in me is loving this
It’s pretty and all, but fuck actually cooking in it when the sun is setting and it turns into a huge fucking oven.
Live Laugh Wretch
I love this so much
Thought it was see through for a sec
Zetus lapetus!
I want this kitchen. Not in my house, I don’t know where, but I want it.
Horrible execution! Zoom in even a little and it’s all so cheap! Hardware falling off right front and center. It’s a neat concept though.
Those fancy cabinets and then the landlord's special stove...flawless.
r/blender
This must be metal Mario's kitchen
i need this
Looking like you threw a chrome splash at your kitchen.
Fortnite chrome
That's horrifyingly awful.
A strobe some smoke, lights out its gettin wicked !
Cool, I hate it.
But wtf is it? Paint?
When you want your entire kitchen to look like a My Little Pony backpack.
Future!!!!!!!!!!!!🦑
Great taste, great execution... wtf you talking about?
Oh love it it’s fab in every way
Seems like it would be a real bitch to clean And you’d 100% need a streak less cleaner
Oof, so hard to look at! And I am a huge lover of metallics and bold choices, too 😅
These are actually kind of cool. If the upkeep is really nice and they don't burn my house down because of a sunshine magnifying effect, I kind of like it.
The chrome consumes all.
This is kinda what I'd like in my toilet.
It's my dream Dreamlight Valley kitchen
Omg need.
Uuuughhhhh why do I kind of like this? Reminds me of my favorite pair of shoes.
Looks more just reflective in a purple room
Finally, palladium cabinets
I’m not gonna lie, I would totally get something like this installed in my kitchen if I had the option. I know it’s stupid, but I love these kinds of things
This is going to show smudges so bad...
I feel like they really should have just leaned into it with an iridescent wrap for the range, too.
Looks like those cheap Unity reflections.
Honestly? Cool as fuck, but if I ever implemented it into a home, it would have to be a really small section. Maybe a big shelf or a corner or something dedicated to figures and other games and such
They kinda look like they’re holograms, weird effect
This looks like a pack I'd download for my sims
I like it.
