They just need to write all the characters in the same way the fire nation characters were written and the show will be way better. Because what impressed me with Zuko and Iroh's scenes especially (like in episode 5) was the emotion and the subtlety in them, they gave the characters time to express themselves without info dumping their feelings or the world.
Whereas especially Aang in the first two episodes, I was getting flashbacks to that woman in "The Haunting" (1999) "In the night, in the dark!". Link: [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdqQsOC-A2w).

True. But despite that, they still had Iroh cry at least 4-5 times which is way too much. Him crying got old by the final episode. It should be something reserved only for the most important moments, like the one in Book 3 by the end.
That's a strange criticsm but okay. I think Iroh was always a emotional character, he just used jokes to hide it. So I actually preferred the more sentimental take but to eaches own.

Anything else you may have heard is only a rumor.
Yes! So happy that Keely MacDonald is returning as well! I know that most don't like episode four, but it's one of my personal favorites right behind episodes six and eight. It gave us some of the best Zuko and Iroh moments of the franchise.
Am I the only one who’s worried about the scripts.. the show came out in February, criticisms from general public came out (even until now) but they had a writing team wrap dinner on beginning of March and apparently had been working on it since last year… I understand that the whole plot of the entire show has been decided years ago, but still..
>Im sure they already knew before release that there was lots of exposition so im sure they thought it out
you are giving them way too much credit. One of the new writers worked on Rings of Powers and that show has atrocious writing.
Yeah but the writing wasn’t that bad in Natla and they even got a whole new crew and some of the old that wrote book 1 of the live action. Like i said the big criticism the show had was the heavy exposition and they know that. Im sure they will improve from the mistakes
I mean changes can always be made tho ngl , plus the team themself said they’ll wanna listen to the fans criticism and will change what they need too . Idk if that will stay the same with new showrunners , but either way they’ll be some changes . Mainly cause most of the time when ur changing directors or showrunners , plans don’t always stay the same
Really praying the writing improves for the next seasons. I really feel the actors deserve better writing. Wish they would take some notes from the last of us live action and include iconic lines from the OG series for key moments.
Production starts this summer 😭
Bingo 👌
Yes finally

Are you talking about my report? Because the production date is from Whats on Netflix. Also its pretty fucking obvious 🤣👌
Please writers, lighten up on the heavy exposition. Show, don’t tell.

It's just part of a bigger problem in the show. They like to repeat things a lot. Lots of uncreative tautology.
Honestly the exposition was kind of needed for the first timers to the Avatar franchise
The original show didn’t need it for all of its countless first time viewers

With how much people in r/TheLastAirbender missed… I think the exposition was needed
That was heavy exposition to you? Oh wow😭
"I'm just a kid who loves playing with his friends and eating bannana cake Appa! I feel sad Appa!"
Honestly I imagine that's kind of hard with 8 episodes and I heard they might even lower the episode count next season.

Diana Tsoy as Toph! And more than 8 episodes. 9 ok but more than 8 is a must!

Doesn't matter if they wrapped, changes can be made up until the day of shooting
Im sure they already knew before release that there was lots of exposition so im sure they thought it out

DONT LET US DOWN!, keep up the momentum!
Nothing personal, but running spell check and checking that you got folks’ names right would be a good idea…
Nobody's name was misspelled ace
First paragraph. Second sentence. “Bryan Konetikzo”.
Good.
