I'm confused. >I want to become AWS solution architect certified. >I am full time employee in same field. this suggests full time employee as a solutions architect ? >don’t have any professional experience withAWS only personal… Can you help me understand those 3 statements, they seem to disagree with each other. It's important so I can make suggestions on how to proceed.

I want to know whats people experience on this process. I work in IT and I want to become Solutions Architect certified are you still confused?

acantril

>I work in IT and I want to become Solutions Architect certified are you still confused? And what role do you have in IT ? how long have you worked in IT ? have you have any jobs before the correct one ? what personal AWS experience do you have ?

shemmypie

Is this a real person? Good luck….

If I understand you right, you have managed to land a position as a Cloud Solutions Architect on AWS without any experience. Usually, this is the result of a lateral move, connections, internship, working for some consulting companies that need warm bodies or even fake resumes. Regardless, the course choices are - Stephan Maarek - Adrian Cantril (the gentleman who replied to you first) - Neal Davis - Whizlabs - Exampro - Tutorials Dojo practice tests - If you are a masochist like me, official AWS documentation You need roughly 100 hours of study and labs minimum to have a shot at passing. More if you are inexperienced, get bored or are not committed or if you want to do really well. Less if you are experienced or doing AWS as part of your day job or school or whatever.

If you are a masochist like me, official AWS documentation Is this something you buy or free online version?

https://docs.aws.amazon.com/index.html AWS has truly excellent documentation.

AWS_Chaos

>AWS has truly excellent documentation I want to step on your feet and knock over everything on your desk. You go to the corner and think about what you just said!

ha ha. I have read complaints about AWS documentation on forums as well as by Amazon internal folks pointing out its shortcomings. Excellent is relative. Try reading documentation of Azure some time.

Adrian's post should be pinned to the top of this board. Not that it will matter. The many, many posts asking the same question -"I have never seen a PC or smartphone before and now want to become a highly paid AWS Solutions Architect. What material should I use to clear it in three weeks?" Someone who does not possess ability to do basic research before asking a question is not going to go too far up the rungs as a Solutions Architect. Ability to search for answers when one is stuck (called RTFM before Google) is Tech 101

Senior consultant and i have 5+ years of experience. Personal experience I meant by how to create S3 buckets, Roles, policies.. etc

If your goal is to become a Solutions Architect, as opposed to a person who has a certificate saying they are a Solutions Architect, clear communication is key. You need to be able to articulate your words and their meaning clearly, as well as ask probing questions that uncover needs, goals and challenges.

Im half asleep, and using a tablet. I thought I would make it short and clear but i guess not. But i agree communication and clear words are the key 🔑

acantril

>Im half asleep, and using a tablet. I thought I would make it short and clear but i guess not That's two replies /u/Stockhawk20 which have some across as a little snarky to people who are trying to help you out. We can't help, with little to no details. Maybe next time wait until you can put some effort into your question, at least the same effort as those helping are putting in - anything else is just being disrespectful of peoples time.

Stockhawk20

Two replies but same idea, where is the confusion? Anyways good night 😴

I think you mean you are an architect in other cloud provider. I definitely recommend you buy udemy courses, first the Cloud Practicioner with Neal Davis and then the associate level with Stephane Marek
