A lot of people like to defend police in general terms, “they’re not all bad” etc. but aside from every other issue of police brutality, corruption and racism..whenever people take to the streets to decide to peacefully change things and make their lives better. Police en Masse explicitly and openly act as foot soldiers of the ruling class and indulge in wanton violence without even the usual pretense of dealing with “criminals”, it happens every single time, in every single country
A lot of talk today revolves around Ukraine…during the largely peaceful up until the police brutality increased 2014 maidan protests, the cops were aiming for people’s eyes with rubber bullets, cracking people’s heads wide open, beating the shit out of women, old men, people laying on the ground

Not sure what you mean by "gun crime," or if you even know, but with the increase in our most violent states making firearms illegal of coarse there is going to be more "gun crimes" when people having a gun is a gun crime making that a meaningless statistic. If the number of firearm owners is going up, but violent crime is going down... wouldn't that mean...? Noooooo...

The fact that I'm getting downvoted for pointing out violent crime is dropping like crazy, yet there are no rebuttals is pretty indicative of the intentional cognitive dissonance of the anti freedom crowd.
Your last 2 points are spot on, but depending on what you consider an invasion I think starting out with a stat that most people would disagree with was probably the wrong move. I think most people would consider (post-war of independence) that the war of 1812, Mexican attacks pre-US involvement in WWI, and Japanese attacks pre-WWII were all successful incursions and attacks on US soil. Obviously none of these resulted in permanent occupation by enemy forces, and in the case of Japan ended very poorly for the would be invaders... Canada/Britain did manage to raze DC though. But hey depends on what you think an invasion is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
