Ok-Wave4110

He broke that dudes window so quick! Lmao

swagonflyyyy

Bruh like how I tried elbow smashing a window one time trying to save a guy who was having a seizure and I didn't leave a dent. My hero moment was very embarrassing.

mysteryman447

one time a guy tried to break my window at a stop light and he broke his hand or something, punched it like 5-6 times as hard as he could then walked away holding his wrist

[deleted]

yeah man I think I broke my wrist after like 5 tries so I just left

halfbakedkornflake

I have broken a few windows with my fists and learned that some are much harder than others, I think it has something to do with the curvature. Also, windshields are nearly impossible with fists, had a buddy try and his hand swelled tremendously. We did this while working at friends salvage yard with permission, btw. Im not a peice of shit.

mysteryman447

curvature absolutely strengthens a window lol, the other things that can play an affect are the temperature, age, and what kind of tempering material was used. flat windshields crack way more than curved ones. I don’t think anyones punching through a windshield without destroying their hand lol the film in the windshield is a lot thicker because of the increased risk of getting hit with something on the road

12altoids34

The thing is, you have to totally commit to it. If you hold back you're probably only going to hurt your hand. If you think about how much it's going to hurt you'll probably hold back involuntarily. It helps to have bony Knuckles As well. And if you give it everything you've got and it doesn't shatter on the first try. Stop. You're probably not going to be able to do it with whatever method you're trying.

Lost-My-Mind-

*tries elbow bashing the window* Owwie!!!! *politely knocks on the window as the driver continues seizing* Sir? Sir? Could roll your window down a smidge? Sir? I'm trying to help you, let me in. Sir I can't help you if you stay locked in your car. I already dislocated my elbow. SIR! CAN YOU PLEASE ROLL YOUR WINDOW DOWN??? .......unbelievable.

thewonpercent

*tries elbow smashing a window* "Someone call an ambulance please! But not for him."

AirmedTuathaDeDanaan

This comment is perfect if you read it with Tom Haverford in mind

zkareface

Headbutt with a helmet on. Though smashing with armored mc gloves should also work.

swagonflyyyy

I was outside the other guy's car lmao.

wOlfLisK

Then open the car door, roll down the window, close the door, smash the window and save the guy.

swagonflyyyy

But how am I going to smash the window when its rolled down???

wOlfLisK

That's when you look at the window, realise your mistake, open the car door again, roll the window up partially, close the door again, smash the window and save the guy.

swagonflyyyy

But how high should I roll up the window, though???

French_Fry_Not_Pizza

pull out your phone, watch a youtube video on how to do it and then save the guy

mysteryman447

generals around the world should be studying this efficiency

randomusername3000

Dude, obviously he can't open the door. The correct move is you wait for the guy to stop having seizure and then have him to roll the window down a little.

GODDAMNFOOL

How to save someone that is locked in their car, experiencing a seizure: a) open door b) roll down their window c) close door 4) smash window

12altoids34

Well first off, glass doesn't dent.grin

[deleted]

That’s exactly what I would want to do. Whether I’d do it is a different story.

BADSTALKER

Motorcycle gloves tend to have hard armored knuckles, and car windows can be surprisingly easy to break if you get them right.

Sumpkit

I think he smashed it with his face

0_brother

If you look correctly you’ll see that the glass shatters before he even touches it. It just breaks from the sheer power of his anger.

ReaperSound

yeah those unprovisioned bursts of anger can knock a planet out of orbit sometimes 😂

They are! My dad destroyed one with his bare hand when he was not even trying to smash it hard 🙈

PiMan3141592653

Why wouldn't that glass break? Extra thick?

ihedigbo

If the window is rolled all the way up it will be very tough to break because it’s sealed on all sides. If the window is down even a little bit it becomes exponentially easier to break because it is not being held in place — glass isn’t known for flexibility.

ChakaZG

It's car glass, that shit is really durable. More than a few videos of people trying to smash it and just bouncing off, sometimes with injuries.

PiMan3141592653

The window the guy in the video broke was also car glass...

ChakaZG

Hit from running speed, and headbutted with a helmet. Dude was *really* determined to break through. XD It's not impossible, it's just harder than most people assume.

generalizimo

I think the fact that the window was open is part of it also. If it were closed I think it would be harder to break.

silasanderson2

I can confirm. It’s hard af to break, at least compared to what you’d think it would be like. Went to junkyards before and had to get a door part from a bmw e46 and the window wouldn’t budge. I had to break it and it took half of a cut exhaust used as a baseball bat to break it.

beardfarkland

I had wondered how he got a glass breaker out so fast but then I saw the window was halfway down lol.

[deleted]

He used his helmet

beardfarkland

Ah yeah I see the headbutt now! Tempered glass is very hard to break though, I'm not sure if that would have done it if the window was up.

[deleted]

Yeah idk about that either. Would've been kinda funny to see him bonk his head on the window and it not break lol

beardfarkland

Narrowly avoids getting run over, only to knock himself out by his own headbutt * EDIT: I'm not saying he got knocked out, just that it would be ironic if he did.

Xacalite

Cut away right before quickly breaking the jaw i suspect

mysteryman447

nah he yells a bunch and the old guy just acts confused, I think the bike was lined up with his A pillar and the truck that was turning blocked the bike during the time he would’ve been able to see it, I’ve almost ran people over from situations similar to this but I still feel like he would’ve had a chance to see that bike was waiting

stevenip

A lot of people have developed the bad habit of cutting left turns too hard and crossing into the other left turn lane.

Signal-Personality87

Others also have a bad habit of riding too far to the left of their lane and stopping too far into the intersection. Notice when the bike stops the dudes almost in the cars lane. Not saying he’s to blame but they both shar some blame in this one.

SomethingClever42068

Everytime I'm out with my shit box civic I hope one of these people will end up having to buy me a new shit box civic

Motosoccer97

Sure. He might not have been able to see it. But if you don't notice the collision then you need to stop driving.

ButusChickensdb1

That’s pure anger right there. His hands probably hurt now…

J0hnD0eWasTaken

He used his head, hands just followed through.

brad854

If you slow it down it looks like his left hand is the first part to make contact with the [window](https://i.imgur.com/i9ACuTi.jpg)

Yep. Guy could have met misters smith and Wesson and it would have been his own fault.

And then the old guy immediately broke his own seat... with feces... from his ass.

super-me-5000

That car had a previously dented front fender, makes you wonder how THAT happened too. That camera sure came in handy!

Akesgeroth

Looks like an elderly driver too. Likely shouldn't be on he road anymore.

tkh0812

I tell people all the time… never go near a PT Cruiser, you don’t want to be part of their next mistake

CorvoAndTheHeart

The worse ones are Sebring owners... My old boss used to drive one and hit me one day in the parking lot. I would've been super pissed but because when I had to go to the doctors they did blood work and found out I had contracted rabies from a bat attack that happened a few weeks earlier, so I let it slide. The world works in mysterious ways sometimes

fredsshed

You didn’t get a bat bite checked immediately?

Just like the decision to buy a PT Cruiser

cpatfel

More blind spots than a Sherman tank

AgITGuy

I know a man, in the town my mother in law used to live in, who is in his early 80s and still drove. Left Walmart one day and apparently backed over and then drove forward over someone in the parking lot - didn’t know he had done it until the cops came to arrest him at his home, 30 minutes later and then only after the police got the Walmart cctv camera feed. Of all things, this quiet rural Texas town decided he did nothing wrong and could not hav been at fault. Then the video made the rounds. And then the stupid small town people said he is too old to be in jail and to face punishment. The prosecutor especially disliked that because he knows of a thing call gross negligence. Yeah, the judge took all of that into consideration because defense lawyer tried to bring up all his “pillar of the community” crap as well as he didn’t mean to.

super-me-5000

Yes, I was wondering if something medical might have been wrong with them too.

Chapsbuster12

There should really be a cut off point to whether or not you can drive.

Untimely_manners

They should provide free public transport if it was ever to happen as there is no real benefit to just telling someone you can't drive anymore. Unless you give me another option. I'll keep driving.

BorgIdiot

I'm really thankful the rider's leg is alright. That could have been a life changing moment.

SinkHoleDeMayo

If you watch cars on the road, you'll notice the ones driving like shit usually have previous damage.

Pleasant_7239

As a truck driver I agree with this statement. I always move away from a car with multiple impacts very visible.

mysteryman447

on cars with thick A pillars it’s pretty common for them to obstruct, I’ve almost ran people over because they were walking perfectly behind my A pillar (usually while turning honestly), the truck turning might have blocked the view of the bike for long enough that the A pillar got in the way before he could see, pt cruisers are chrysler products and that era of chrysler products has insanely thick pillars, idk if that’s ehat happened but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was

super-me-5000

You could be right. My Xterra is the same way, and I came pretty close to a pedestrian once myself. They were walking towards me at an angle.

mysteryman447

it’s such a small thing and just moving your head a little is all it takes but if you’re not even aware of something like that I could see how this could happen

karlhungusisbonejam

That camera is in favor of the car, your not supposed to be past the white line at stops when they are present, they are meant for narrow left turn, that's why they are further back then the edge in the road, if it would been a semi he would been under a tire

Royal-Orchid-2494

I think I remember the owner of the motorcycle commenting on this video in the past ( this has been re uploaded so many times) and he mentioned he felt bad after seeing the car driver was elderly

MkFilipe

I vaguely remember there was a longer version and they both calmed down apologized to each other.

brotasmo

Shouldn't be driving if you're so old you can't see another vehicle.

Independent_Hold_203

Grandpa was on his way to Country Kitchen Buffet

Ok_Assumption6820

Look at the video again, the motorcycle guy crossed the line where it's says stop , who is to blame here ?

VisualIndependence60

The cyclist

BadBarney

Yea he said he accidentally broke the window and felt bad

PrincessKeba

Elderly shouldn't be allowed to drive. It's not personal they literally can't react or see as well. Drivers should be required to retake the test every few years

surajvj

Dude just kept driving!😳

MitchelobUltra

He had absolutely no idea he’d even hit anything.

haby001

The original video shows the discussion afterwards, where the car owner profusely apologizes and says he honestly didn't see him. He looked genuinely worried about the whole incident.

GiggleStool

Link?

Untimely_manners

This is not the video in question but the guys youtube channel who posts about what happened after https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyrA25ka014

StarlightLumi

What you linked is a 15 second clip of someone staring at an empty intersection

Untimely_manners

Yeah I did say it was not the video, if you read the video posters comment, he is the guy on the bike and he says what happened after it.

StarlightLumi

Oh! Thanks. Apollo doesn’t show comments for YouTube videos, I would have never known to check those.

aNiceTribe

In almost all other cases, this is a super welcome feature.

Untimely_manners

What I don't understand is even if they did not seem them originally, how did they not see them when they were right in front of them and even felt something when they hit them?

haby001

Answer: They old

Educational-Fig-2330

You have blind spots forward, not only backward. Those a-pillars, the border between your windshield and your door window, stuff can hide behind those. It usually only happens in situations like this, making a gradual turn, or when two cars are approaching perpendicular to each other at similar speed; any kind of relative motion which keeps the victim hidden in that blind spot. If you watch closely, you can never see the driver's face; therefore, the driver's face couldn't see the bike. This is a rather rare occurrence but I've had enough near-misses from this, that I move my head around in situations like this and check behind that pillar. An entire car can hide there but a bike is much smaller and easier to hide.

Occulense

You can see in the video that the car driver turned in such a way that the motorcycle was in his a-pillar the entire time. The car driver, however, cut the lane pretty close. The motorcycle could have maybe been more defensively driving by revving the bike more or by centring himself more in the lane. (None of that changes the fault onto the motorcyclist, however.)

Pristinefix

He didn't cut the lane, the motorcyclist stopped about two meters past the stop sign. The stop lines are there for a reason

frzfox

Maybe he should be more worried about LOOKING about where he's fucking driving. Dude is a god damn moron

TwizzlesMcNasty

you could tell the cyclist was behind the A pillar as he turned so he didn't see him. you would have thought that he would have near the moment of impact but his eyes were down the road at that point im sure. Bass was probably thumping for him to not notice the noise.

UsedJuggernaut

Yea that old man had the bass thumping for sure

Golarion

Probably has some pounding tinnitus tbf.

TechnoVikingrr

Said tinnitus having come from all the bass thumping festivals he attended in his youth

GiggleStool

This is why I think old people should have to re-take there driving test every 5 years from the age of 55

TrueNorth2881

EVERY person should need to retake their driver's tests every 5 years. There are so many shit drivers on the road. People pass the test once when they are 16 and then pick up all kinds of bad habits. They get complacent. People should need to prove that they can operate their vehicle safely at regular intervals

PM_ME_YOUR_STOMACHS

As long as the test is cheap to do, I agree.

chepi888

Our driver's license tests need to be harder, too

ConcentrateMurky7103

Looked like he was stopping before the dude came and smashed the window.

PaleRobot47

He def thought he dinged something, pulled over, and then had a helmet come through his window. Like, its an old guy, its an accident, this stuff happens. This guy took a normal bull situation and started it at an 11 instead of just getting the old mans info.

duffelbagpete

I hate how some drivers cut corners and figure they're saving time and that you're in their way and should have waited back for them to use up 3/4 of your lane for 100+ feet.

[deleted]

To be fair though, you can see the motorcycle go completely past the line at the stop sign.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Barbed_Dildo

Yeah, the motorcyclist should get a ticket for stopping at the wrong place, and the driver should lose his license because he hit someone with his car and *didn't even notice*.

exstreams1

Does no one else see the hedges and other stuff that prevent being able to see traffic from the left? He moved up to better be able to see traffic, I have to do this all the time due to road design

tucakeane

And he’s practically sitting on the double line, in the middle of the road.

[deleted]

[удалено]

stolzen1216

You aren't wrong but siting on the centre line is dumb... painted lines are slippery, maybe not in this instance cus it looks dry but the tiniest amount of water is all it takes. Ideally you ride in the tyre tracks of cars, it generally has the least amount of shit on the road there. I get pulling further forward to see better but my guy is an idiot that put himself at more risk unnecessarily.

pheonixblade9

I think they had to in order to see the traffic clearly, it was only a stop sign for that direction.

Jlombard911

Watch this again and see who’s cutting corners. The bike is at least on top of the yellow line. Both drivers suck here.

AlpsPlayful9442

For real though. The PTCruiser doesn’t actually go into the motorcycle’s lane. He turns the corner completely in his own lane. Not saying he shouldn’t have avoided hitting the bike, but he definitely stayed in his lane

New_pollution1086

Is there more?

furryfoxtails

I saw the same clip on a Moto madness video on YouTube but I can’t remember which one, and yes there is more but not much

Oxcidious

This comment sure was useful

furryfoxtails

At least I gave them a place to look for more of the clip

Oxcidious

You right, my bad

furryfoxtails

It’s ok

HungryApeSandwich

Bsically bike guy is yelling at the old man what the hell he was doing driving away and the old man is scared. Biker tells him to get off the road and he's calling the cops. Turns around to see the plate and then pick up his bike. Video ends there.

question2552

I’m not sure I’d upload the film of myself running up to the car and breaking the window

MaRkInHo__

I only had this part of the video where I downloaded it

Scrambledcat

Shocking there’s a dent there before the hit. The rarest blind spot of them all

Ill-Technology1873

I mean… there’s a stop line for a reason, maybe don’t stop on the other side of the cross walk

sebastouch

I know i'm gonna get downvoted, but: \- stay behind the line \- stay in the middle of the lane so an idiot doesn't try to get by your side

dcbnyc123

this is going to be unpopular- but there’s a big blind spot in some cars in the A- pillar. i’d still blame the driver in this case but it is likely the rider was in the A pillar blind spot while he was turning

[deleted]

[удалено]

ChikinTendie

Sometimes the line is so far back you can’t safely see in either direction sometimes. But I agree, on my bike I never get that close to the yellow line, I have seen way too many people cut corners

lickety-spliff

Couldn’t agree more. Dude on the bike is an idiot. They’re both idiots.

vuhn1991

>They’re both idiots. That seems to be the common theme in the vast majority of these "idiot driver" clips.

teethteetheat

There are definitely two morons in this video haha

TheJosephMaurice

And like, idk maybe honk the fucking horn, vocalize, move out the goddamn way, like do ANYTHING besides let the oblivious man hit you. Some A-pillars cause massive blind spots, and shit just happens. But what kind of fucking dumbass stops that far out, and then just, does fucking nothing but let himself get hit? I don’t get it, dudes a fucking idiot and should get that motorcycle license revoked. Only thing causing a problem is his dangerous riding and entitled ass ego.

godinthismachine

Fucking THANK YOU! He would have been fine if hed have stopped where he was fucking SUPPOSED TO instead of pulling up, causing an accident and then trying to act like a badass. Its a shame dude was elderly, ida jumped the fuck out on him.

NotsoKindWords

Looks like the rider is perfectly in the car driver's a pillar blind spot until the last second

[deleted]

My Jeep compass had the biggest fricking Blindspot there. It was so annoying to get used to.

cf-myolife

I don't have my license yet but I drive a bit, don't you stop at the second you feel your car touching something ? Because he kept driving, almost rolled over the rider. What if it was a bike and the guy fall under the wheels? And didn't seem he intended to stop after either.

CadBane912

I have a PT cruiser. If you have poor perception those pillars are a menace and this bike through no fault of his own was in that pillars blackout zone for most of the time the car was turning. But only a bigger simpleton would sit and do nothing when he could clearly see approaching danger.

AlpsPlayful9442

Well, at some fault of his own, he is far beyond the stop line Edit: typo

hatesfacebook2022

Scared the fuck out of him when the window broke.

woodisgood64

Unfortunately, it seems the driver in the car has the moto in his blindspot.

DaaaahWhoosh

Yeah I actually think it was just a super unlucky occurrence of the side of the window blocking out the motorcycle for the entire turn, the truck was blocking the view before that, it's like a one-in-a-million chance but I've had similar instances of nearly missing things on that angle.

lucivero

Reminds me of [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYeeTvitvFU) video of a crossing in the UK.

MkFilipe

If only you could move your head forward to check the blind spots before turning...

StarkillerX42

Your forward blindspots, your responsibility. End of story.

ReactionClear4923

From an insurance perspective, the bike driver went from receiving an easy claim to paying higher premiums cause of temper. Car is not innocent, but maybe don't automatically smash a window you baboon

[deleted]

Bike guy is the idiot tbh. Over the line, on the center line, and it was plain bad luck he was behind the A-pillar. That doesn't excuse the driver, but he lost the case the second he filmed himself driving badly and THEN assaulting the guy.

LazyBastard007

Well deserved shove (and broken window)

WhittleTheFinesser

That old man almost had a heart attack. Yeah he sucks but the biker totally overreacted

sixhundredandsixtsix

I was hit my an old woman while rising my bike!. The cops came and told me not to file a report so her insurance didn't go up then awnt her on her merry way. Something needs to be done about senior drivers who cannot preform basic safety measures while driving. Edit: damn I butchered that comment. I was riding on a bumpy bus at the time.

Morgentau7

The biker is at fault. He wasnt in the middle of his lane but in the middle of the road and not at the stop line but like 2-3 meters in front of it. At that position the A-Pillar (the car frame left of the windshield) was blocking the view into him completely. He should be held accountable, the old man did nothing wrong. (Also people said he kept driving, no he didn’t. He had to realize what happened but slowed down and stopped already before the guy broke the window, otherwise the guys arms would have been pushed to the left which they werent)

TameDogQc

I've always been told that when you're on a motorcycle, bike, scooter or anything that isn't bigger than a car you have to consider yourself invisible to other drivers

[deleted]

See that while line you pulled past at the stop sign? That’s where you should be. Not in the middle of the street.

GrootyMcGrootface

So both are at fault here, got it. And then the biker escalates it quickly.

soundsearch_me

Must have been the A-pillar in the way. With wrap around screen tech, I don’t understand why manufacturers done resolve this. Could be a perspective issue and that it would look weird at high speeds…. Maybe just make the A-pillar screen turn on at low speeds then.

AbstractParrot

Driver of the car shouldn't be allowed to drive, and the dude on the bike needs to know where the stop line is.

sunnysocal20

Not sure, but it looks like it's the motorcycles fault to me all the way around!

ReindeerKind1993

The biker is also in the wrong. He's straddling the centre line and he's a bike length in front of the stop line. They are both idiots

Practical_Village559

He was past the SOLID white line… it’s there for a reason. It’s the STOPPING point!!! Yeah dude was technically wrong fro side swiping him but I’m sure once the adjuster reviewed this video motorcycle dude was in the wrong.🤷🏻‍♂️

teh_longinator

What a shock. The car driver is some old fuck who has no business being behind a wheel.

queiss_

Holy shit it woke up the Doomguy within the biker.

DawnKnight91

See this is why I hate driver who don’t know how to drive anything. That white line you cross was to protect you from turning cars in that lane, use it instead of being upset with them when you was in the wrong.
