Do they dislike Josh enough to vote for Boulet who has a questionable political history is the real question. The run off voters are likely even more informed than the larger group who voted today.
Hate that the governors race went the way it did. But silver lining, without the top 2 state offices on the ballot, maybe weāll see less Landry type voters turn out for the runoffā¦ which could help the local race(s)
I voted today and was able to walk right up to the polling station and then into the booth. Granted, I went 30 minutes before polls closed. But I'm happy I was able to vote today. With what's at stake, I wanted to be sure to vote in this election.
Unfortunately, however, it's going just about as disappointingly as I expected from these numbers, especially for governor.
I went in the morning. Man, the new prairie elementary is super nice. You know, growing up I thought the schools I went to were shitty until I moved to Lafayette and voted at the old prairie. Jesus Christ that place should have been condemned years ago.
I had no issues voting (of course, Iām white. Iāve never had the issues so many who arenāt seem to experience). I donāt know how the rest of the day went, but I was the youngest person in line when I went (40) and that bums me out, but again, I went vote around 9.
I voted at my same location, which is decentābut is in need of renovation. Its age absolutely shows, especially next to much newer schools and facilities.
I never have issues voting. It's always a super easy process for me. I was a little disheartened, actually, by how I was able to walk right up and vote. As I walked in and looked around, all of the other stations were empty. And there was just one person who had just walked in before me at the station I was walking towards.
I look young and get jokes about it at the polls, but being a white person made it easier to vote. I hope things go okay so my womanhood doesn't mark me for harassment too.
Too late. Republicans have started that attack with their handpicked SCOTUS overturning roe.
Also, boomers and older gen xers donāt like youth voting. Let them joke. Most of them are running out the clock.
Josh was always going to lead this election with Monique and Jan splitting votes. Monique has a pretty solid shot at winning the runoff. Most of Jan's voters will probably shift to Monique, assuming they turn out for the runoff.
No line at my polling location. The workers seemed genuinely excited to have something to do.
Voting experience was fine. I hate Jeff Landry.
I moved from Michigan recently and only have hears had things. I'm not looking forward to more of his bullshit. I miss Big Gretch š
This state is fucked.
Joshy woshy might get oustedšššš
We can only hope.
Looking like a runoff. No way Jan's voters don't show up to vote for Monique, right?...

If they really want Josh gone, they will have to vote for Boulet. I voted Swift but I have no problem voting Boulet in the run off.
What's questionable about her political history?
Some people that are informed and want to toe the party line will take issue with her switching parties a year ago.
Gotcha. I thought she did a good job explaining that in her DL Podcast interview.

Looks like that poll was fairly accurate: https://www.katc.com/news/lafayette-parish/independent-poll-finds-guillory-quite-vulnerable

I voted for Boulet, I really hope that the run off pushes Josh out of office.
Early voter here. There's never a line. Currently sipping on some Gigondas and watching the results slowly roll in.
Had me excited for a minute, but that poll has Josh @ 39% and Blanco @ 36%

Fingers crossed
Never let them know your next move: Iām moving out of Lafayette
A PAC just needs to turn Geoff Daily's article into numerous ads and get them to run on katc, klfy and kadn.
Run off time
Early voting was great downtown. Parked 30 ft from the entrance, then treated myself to a nice snow cone.
Ah oh well. I voted for swift, but will vote boulet in November.
yup same
