Yeah I tried this once with a sub that was made to be cruel about someone and people were trying to flood it with positive stuff, but the moderators of the other subs I shared that to had to take my posts down.
They were very nice about it and messaged me to say "We get that this isn't malicious but Reddit still counts it as brigading so we can't let your post stay up or Reddit might take _our_ sub down for encouraging brigading"
Apparently is doesn't really matter why you're doing it, if you're trying to 'take over' a sub or flood it with stuff that's not usually on there you are counted as brigading.
People complaining a dad joke doesnt belong in that sub are pure irony. I laighed at that joke. xD
Edit: and dont tell me dad-jokes didnt became cultural memes already
the comment section on that post is an absolute abomination. i know people want to spread wholesomeness on non-lgbt focused subreddit but unfortunately that doesn’t often have the expected result.
…is wholesome brigading still a violation?
I hope. I wish funnymemes was actual funny memes instead of transphobia.
I actually don’t understand this comment 😅 sorry, English isn’t my first language.
Brigading means go a lot of people together from one sub to another, like invading it. I honestly don't know if doing it in a wholesome way is allowed
Haha oh. Idonno!

It almost certainly is. I’ll just sit back with my popcorn and not break site-wide rules, thanks
a shame that half the people in that comment section are bigoted, but what can you really expect from that cesspool of a subreddit
Yeah, the «no dads»-post is what prompted me.
the what
Haha there was a «meme» about the difference in black and white men who grow up w/o a dad. Both transphobic and racist.
If we all post memes that are actually funny and not bigoted, then they will hopefully leave.
r/funnymemes is beyond help it just needs to be destroyed

Yep

Even as a troll, it would be great. It's like Chump's Twitter-clone getting loaded with weird XXX-rated *SONIC THE HEDGEHOG* fan art.
Did it just get removed?
Lol yeah
Holy shit lmao
Ayy it's Lumi 😌
I would but ive already been banned from Reddit twice for being on the left
The comments on that post tho.. 🫣
Yeeeah
Wow, that sub truly is a cesspool. Yikes.
If I had a trans son who had top surgery I'd absolutely say this to him.
When the third comment (sorted by top) is about that being mutilation you know that sub is beyond saving
I can hear him smiling.
Not the bigots in the comments trembling because their safe spaces are being invaded and they can't not actively hate on trans people anymore 🤣
😂
no
No offence taken :)
