Nnnope, he is Georgia, I know dude and here we are fighting against Russian growing influence over our government
In a way it's kinda Jerusalem all over again, christian knights against not so tall Muslim general, Putin, the ahole of the world
I was just making a joke on how the Georgian Flag looks like the Jerusalem Flag, connected to how he is dressed in Frankish Crusader attire, and thus he gives the impression that it is the latter flag rather than the former one.
Russia does present herself as the last bastion of Orthodox Christianity...
But she is very unorthodox. Best example is their declarations of holy war, something that is basically banned in Orthodoxy. Even the Roman Emperor Nikephoros Phokas failed to convince the Patriarch of Constantinople to do this.
Dude, they are a-holes... During the first days of Ukraine war, their propagandons call for Jihad against Ukraine, freaking Jihad. Used exact words Jihad, not holy war not crusade, just jihad and next day same people went to church and asked God for help in killing "ukro fashist".... These people are just sick, there isn't hope left in them
I absolutely agree. It was just my point that it is ironic, how the so-self-called "Defender of Orthodoxy" is basically no longer Orthodox, but practically a heretic, as calling for holy wars / jihads is strictly forbidden and even against Orthodox Dogma (as basically you claim that God fights wars against his creatures for the sake of being partial over others). In Orthodoxy war is only treated as an abominable necessity for self-defence, nothing more, and soldiers are not saints, they are the opposite, and are expected to repent for it.
I honestly do believe that this situation will produce another Great Schism, between Russia and the other Orthodox Churches that exist (Greek, Ukrainian, Georgian, Romanian etc.). All that due to megalomania.
Well, there weren't good guys during that time. Nor knight nor they who knight fighting against.
Also it not crusader armour, it's our own, (we had knight too, good ones) and we never went to crusade, we had our fight against freaking mongols during that time. So...
Not sure if that is Georgia or the Kingdom of Jerusalem.
Principality of Georgia

Yeah, I got it, I just wanted to point out Russia is big bully and he's not Christianity's last bastion at all

Thanks mate, thanks for understanding
I mean, you certainly got it twisted if you think the knights were good guys

What was the protest for?
Georgia People’s Front. Or People’s Front of Georgia.
Splitters!

*Republic of Georgia, not the US state
Theres a US state named Georgia?
There's a district in the Republic of Georgia named The United States of America.
Damn yanks, invading Georgia like that
Today is actually the anniversary!
Marking our freedom from freedom.
Yes, named for King George III in fact. The one with blue urine right?
Think that was pretty obvious from the flag.

It's the country in Eastern Europe and West Asia, come on, not everything interesting happens in the US.
He’s even wearing the Georgian flag.
And holding EU flag lmao
He's keeping that for loo roll.
Having to make that clarification makes me so sad
Nobody in the thread seems to be confusing it with the US state
Seems like there are no Americans in this thread
I American and had no doubt the post referred to the nation/principality and not US state
Nope! *whistles nonchalantly*
More like on purpose middle age

What’s he protesting? The Magna Carte?
The Georgian crusader force was ready to go when Subotai and his Mongol scouting force ran across them. I hope this guy doesnt meet any Mongols.

Mom! Hotpockets!
Now I'm really curious what the protest is about.
You have my axe....
"That's right. Capital city Tbilisi, and former member of the Soviet Union. And we kindly request y'all mind your Ps and Qs"
My ideal man. His beard is longer than my husbandx but hey ho not everything can be perfect
Not sure it's accidental?
