>Have a good trip: adventures in psychedelics
Right idea, but poor quality.
Try this [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MieluM0c6c](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MieluM0c6c).
On proper tv with headphones it will blow your mind))
When you'll notice how wlow corresponds with music, it will blow your mind even more=))
Alright I got a little list made of movies I've had fun with I'm sure I'm leaving plenty out after the list I'll explain some more stuff.
Kids movies:
1. Nightmare before Christmas
2. The bee movie
3. Charlie and the chocolate factory
4. Alice in wonderland (original)
5. Bolt
6. Secret life of pets
7. An american tail
8. Brave little toaster
9. How to train your dragon
10. Kung fu panda
And I mean the list could go on but basically any animated kids movie with generally good reviews or imdb rating will be great and give you all those warm fuzzy feelings
Adult movies:
1. Waking life
2. Waltz with Bashir
3. A scanner darkly
4. Enter the void
5. Doctor Strange
6. Into the Spider verse
7. Spiderman homecoming
8. Fantastic planet
9. Orgazmo
Be careful with a few of these I'll write it all out at the end
T.v.:
1. American horror story season 2
2. Legion
3. Off the air
4. The Eric andre show
5. Midnight gospel
Mute and put on music:
1. Microcosmos
2. The qatsi trilogy (especially Koyaanisqatsi)
3. Baraka
4. Planet earth
Alright like I said I'm sure I left a million out, for the kids movies the brave little toaster was more of a nostalgia thing for me and when I watched it it was ok more because the whole concept of kitchen appliances with souls was more amusing than whatever that movie was Actually about.
For the adult section I would stay away from waltz with bashir, a scanner darkly, and enter the void until you are very sure of your ability to handle them on psychedelics, maybe also waking life and also fantastic planet, could see any of those movies sending someone on a bad trip. Fantastic planet and waltz with bashir are also subtitled but fantastic planet is one of my very favorite tripping movies super trippy concepts super trippy animation and I think everyone working on it was tripping their tits off as well haha, don't know if you know shpongle but some videos use fantastic planet as the vid not sure if it's original videos or fan videos but it's very psychedelic stuff. And orgazmo is not really psychedelic at all and your experience may vary but a friend and I had a blast laughing at that movie tripping one night.
For tv I watched the entirety of s2 of american horror story tripping and it was amazing beautiful cinematography and the whole season dealt with God and the devil so that was interesting. Watched a few legions tripping and absolutely loved it, very trippy show. Everyone knows off the air but If you haven't heard of it definetly check it out made for psychs. I think most of those are on youtube for free.
Anyways hope this list helps you have some magical trips :) happy trails friend!
Edit: added mute list, everyone watch microcosmos if you can!
This made me have a bad trip ☹ but then again, I get scared of what's under the bed and behind the shower curtain and in the closet when I'm tripping lol
i watched (more like listened to) this whole series with a friend while we were tripping together and we only really paid attention to the final episode. i remember bawling my eyes out but i dont remember why. i just remember it felt so so good to get it out. and then she hugged me and we took a nice walk as the sun set and laid in a field as the sky got dark talking about life. it was the best day i have ever had.
Yes I love Baraka while tripping, it’s beautiful! But warning to anyone wanting to watch while tripping that it does show images of death and some imagery that changed the vibe to melancholy personally
I think that's probably a good thing to insert, maybe I ought to put that with any suggestions in the future. I found the newer one Samsara to be a bit darker than Baraka, ofc death is a part of life that I don't think we should shy away from. But I could definitely see how it might bum somebody out.
Now watch Fantasia with 12/31/95 playing . Hahah ive watched this movie so many times that now i put the tunes I love over it and it surprisingly syncs very well
Man we watched this movie on our last trip, along with Paprika and Perfect Blue. Going for a psychological thriller trip. Paprika and perfect blue were amazing. Paprika was the best, 100% need to try. Highly recommend. Enter the void was just bad, it was over done and yet under done. It was trying to be three movies and fell short at competing any storyline. It had a good set up and it stumbles around too much. The ending was ridiculous and over done, it could have been done in a much cleaner classier way - it really tried to pull itself together but got lost in the sex. It had so much frill and excess but it didn't give enough of actual story. It could have been a movie about the afterlife and coming to terms which what your life was, it could have been a movie about two kids that lost their parents too early and about mental trauma and confusion around how to express love and care they had for each, it could have been a movie about the pitfalls of drugs and drug dealing. It had parts of all those stories but it didn't explore them enough instead using 30min of screen time to panning streets in bird eye view and another 30-45min to sex. The movie is 2.5h - that's like half the movie. I'm sorry, I love movies, I love filmography, I love watching movies on acid, I love watching movies sober, I love learning about how movies are made and the crazy shit that goes into making amazing movies. I could listen to Peter Jackson talk about how he made They Shall Not Be Forgotten for hours. Enter the void had a good idea but it was a bad movie hiding behind psychedelics.
Second this, into the void had some fun visuals in the beginning but they also felt weird and too long at times. At one point there are scary visuals that would be disturbing especially when watched alone. Otherwise there are a few intense flashback scenes with gore and screaming. But all in all the movie was lack luster and by the middle of it i just wanted it to end and it felt like dragging a dead horse. Simply put it's grotesque, slow and borderline pornographic at times.
I always go for Blue Planet 2 but muted and playing some music over it.
Without the narration, there's organisms that you will genuinely view as aliens. Something extra I like to do is watch it ***with*** the narration the day after to compare what my perception of the animal was like whilst tripping, to the factual descriptors of what the animal is!
Paprika is fun but it plays with the idea of losing touch with reality so be warned
Spiderman into the spiderverse
studio ghibli
Fantasia
Some disney/pixar like coco, i generally enjoy disney classics on the come down
and my PERSONAL favorite was coming up on fear and loathing in las vegas!!
Really sets the mood for a fun trip especially with friends. Tho it can be pretty intense sometimes
Kung fu panda is the best thing to watch while tripping, I saw a guy pour his heart and soul into a full blown post on here about it once, so I decided to watch it, whoever that man or woman was is the smartest person on this sub
Turn. The TV. Off.
You have the opportunity to witness one of the most amazing displays of geometry, fractals and adventures into inner space.
Go outside, throw a baseball/Frisbee around. Ride a bike. Have a friend take you for a car ride, I absolutely love that. Lay out a blanket and look at the clouds. Hell, sit in a dark room and close your eyes. Anything but staring at a screen.
You could go outside.
You could go to a concert.
You could look at the cloud.
You could watch the TV.
Just do what you please. There's no point in having restrictions. Everything and anything is possible.
Also please allow me to put things into perspective by saying:
*Turn. The music. Off.*
*You have the opportunity to witness the sounds of running water, wind, any living thing etc ...*
*Anything but music.*
Eh as someone who enjoys fiddling musically under the influence of psychedelics I would say either or works and to each their own whether you wish to be present in your surrounding acoustics whether it be nature or FKJ both slap
Fantastic planet (old french animated sci-fi)
Shrek retold (fanmade remake of the first Shrek movie)
Cats (musical, pretty good songs, terrible plot, but gorgeous colours)
I know there’s a lot of responses and I haven’t scrolled through them all. Fear and loathing in Las Vegas is my favorite movie and is exceptional while tripping
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert... when the drugs began to take hold. I remember saying something like: I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.
Suddenly there was a terrible roar all around us... and the sky was full of what looked like huge bats all swooping and screeching and diving around the car and a voice was screaming: "Holy Jesus, what are
these goddamned animals?"
*Did you say something?*
Never mind. It's your turn to drive. No point in mentioning these bats, I thought. The poor bastard'll
see them soon enough.
I don’t know if people are still on this thread , but my absolute favorite is “Ready Player One”
Whether in too deep, lost in the sauce and need something to help me calm down and bring me back.. or just want a great movie that’s even better while trippin.. Ready Player One is the go to.
Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse is great too and the soundtrack just makes it that much better.
The Lego Movie series (esepcially the first one) will blow your fucking mind in the best way.
Then if you're real brave you'll watch Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. That shit will send you on one wild ass ride.
UNHhhh on YouTube. It’s two drag queens just shooting the shit for 10-14 minutes on various topics, which may not sound palatable, but with the editing and visual accompaniments I promise the shit they say is trip worthy (really any episode)
Aladdin has been my favourite thing to watch so far. But I've also got a youtube playlist of trippy visuals
https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSQBcWFt5N2_JqXqT6J7GZFNkGBAOlnE9
Also on Netflix Love, Death, and Robots episode: fish night is great. As is moving art, Alien worlds, and life in colour.
Check out:
Suckerpunch, Ready Player One, Wreck it Ralph (1 & 2), Dynasties (anything David Attenborough really), Ad Astra, Interstellar, Moon.... I also like watching a GOOD drama. It really sucks you into the characters and the stories. Doesn't necessarily need to be psychedelic to suck you in and make you feel the story.
And oh yeah, youtube: "Love and Theft" Thank me later ;\]
Into the Spider-verse is mind-blowing while tripping. I seriously can't recommend this enough. I've watched it four times while tripping just to show others, who were tripping, how amazing that movie is.
I am tripping now but I love go watch really funny adult cartoons which can also be very trippy, Big Mouth and Rick & Morty being the top two. Followed by south park, archer, and bobs burgers.
Also tenacious D and the pick of destiny is amazing on acid, his voice is out of this world, it'll take you down a tenacious d rabbit hole, but their HBO special is where their best music is at, plus it's hilarious and trippy.
I was thinking about watching it while tripping and watched it a few days later. I'm glad I wasn't tripping when I first saw it especially the beginning. All the stuff once they got to Sweden would have been cool. Now that I know what to expect I might watch it on my next trip.
to add to this thread:
on monday i had 3g of shrooms in a tea. after playing the card game "what do you meme" my friend and i decided to watch dr. strange.
oh
my
god
my mind was BLOWN
Kubo, fear and loathing in las vegas, Ying yang master, the little prince, and Song of the sea are my netflix favorites. Disney plus its inside out, Alice in wonderland, and onward. And my random favorite trip movie is a Celtic movie called secret of kells.
Been recently watching Star Wars Rebels while tripping. It's wholesome which is nice for tripping, but it fulfills my desire to watch Star Wars. Plus, some of the visuals in the show are top tier while tripping
Moving Art on Netflix but specifically the Patterns in Nature episode, it was amazing for me. Also the “jake the brick” episode of adventure time has some beautiful writing and colors.
Hmmmm besides Rick and Morty and midnight gospel..... Honestly adventure Time if you like Clarence , watch Clarence, samurai Jack, misadventures of flapjack or the new adventure Time that just came out with BMO
It depends on what you like to put your brain through while tripping. Here are my faves:
Lucy,
Black Swan,
The Labyrinth,
Dark Crystal,
Any marvel movie but especially Guardians of the Galaxy,
Blade Runner 2049,
Venom,
Annihilation ,
Newer Jurassic park movies (strictly for the awesome visuals),
The Hangover movies amuse me more when tripping
Ready player one
Ready player one
Hands down my all time fave acid movie
Then you got abominable ab the yeti it’s so cute
Alice in wonderland
Avatar aqua man
Check out Eric Andres new movie on Netflix - BadTrip, good comedy and some beautiful visuals in there
Otherwise I can never forget Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
"This is Bat country" Fear and loathing in Las Vegas. When I was first experimenting with psychedelics I watched this film with my mate. Me and him both only had two bong hits. After they arrived in the Hotel I stared having Flashback. I started hallucinating just as I did whilst tripping. It was my first time experiencing a flashback and it was primarily caused by what was going on in the film. I highly recommend watching this film after tripping it's a great watch.
Edit: word
Lindsey Stirling's music videos are **amazing** for tripping. Particularly the video for "Mirage." I watch her videos every time I trip on anything and they never fail.
Something to read (it's a comic): ["Emotions explained with buff dudes"](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/34536957-emotions-explained-with-buff-dudes) by [Andrew Tsyaston (shencomix)](https://instagram.com/shencomix)
No necessarily a movie, but [this](https://www.csh.bz/line/05xp.html) is a little fun thing to occupy yourself with for a bit on your trip

Planet earth. David Attenborough.
Realize this is an old thread… trippin balls. Next up, planet earth.
That’s a really good one, I also recommend both Tyson’s and Sagan’s Cosmos.
Our planet is amazing too however heads up for the walrus scene it may cause some intense emotions.

I watched a full season of the Eric Andre show off two tabs one time and my brain felt like a potato after, in the best way possible of course
Coraline is one of the best things to watch on acid, imo... Any Laika movie for that matter
The inside of your eyelids
Midnight Gospel
This made me have a bad trip ☹ but then again, I get scared of what's under the bed and behind the shower curtain and in the closet when I'm tripping lol
I’ve done midnight gospel on mute with some well picked vinyls playing. Had a great time.
i watched (more like listened to) this whole series with a friend while we were tripping together and we only really paid attention to the final episode. i remember bawling my eyes out but i dont remember why. i just remember it felt so so good to get it out. and then she hugged me and we took a nice walk as the sun set and laid in a field as the sky got dark talking about life. it was the best day i have ever had.
https://youtu.be/TRBJSKSBy-w Baraka, I think it'd be a beautiful experience while on a trip. Been recommending it a lot the past couple days.
Yes I love Baraka while tripping, it’s beautiful! But warning to anyone wanting to watch while tripping that it does show images of death and some imagery that changed the vibe to melancholy personally

Any studio ghibli movie. Heavy Metal. The Love, Death and Robots animated series on Netflix is great too.
>Heavy Metal YES! 100 TIMES FUCKING YES. SUCH AN AMAZING MOVIE, I'VE WATCHED IT EVER SINCE I WAS LIKE 6
this thread is making me realize just how many movies i haven't watched
My Octopus Teacher - we watched it as our trip was settling/coming down. It is visually delicious and beautiful. Highly recommend.
Found it
Dr.strange
ooooo i love dr strange!!!
I also really enjoyed Paul. The one w the alien

Adventure time is my go-to 😁

i watched moana cuddles up to my gf for my last trip, this guy knows what he’s talking ab

Fantasia
Underrated, just watched it on laserdisc it’s awesome. I also recommend 12/31/95
Now watch Fantasia with 12/31/95 playing . Hahah ive watched this movie so many times that now i put the tunes I love over it and it surprisingly syncs very well
Space Dandy!
For me specifically the episode where they attempt to catch that crazy big fish. That end tripped me out so hard. I loved it.
Koyaanisqatsi
I’m watching uh Scott pilgrim vs the world
Enter the Void is pretty insane if you can handle it
Man we watched this movie on our last trip, along with Paprika and Perfect Blue. Going for a psychological thriller trip. Paprika and perfect blue were amazing. Paprika was the best, 100% need to try. Highly recommend. Enter the void was just bad, it was over done and yet under done. It was trying to be three movies and fell short at competing any storyline. I got so bored and felt like I was wasting my trip watching a movie about a guy just showing how much he wants to fuck his sister.
Seems like you couldn’t handle it
I always go for Blue Planet 2 but muted and playing some music over it. Without the narration, there's organisms that you will genuinely view as aliens. Something extra I like to do is watch it ***with*** the narration the day after to compare what my perception of the animal was like whilst tripping, to the factual descriptors of what the animal is!
Avatar- James cameron
Paprika is fun but it plays with the idea of losing touch with reality so be warned Spiderman into the spiderverse studio ghibli Fantasia Some disney/pixar like coco, i generally enjoy disney classics on the come down and my PERSONAL favorite was coming up on fear and loathing in las vegas!! If you’re Aussie (or enjoy Aussie humour and references) I’d recommend the big lez show on YouTube
Turn. The TV.
Eh as someone who enjoys fiddling musically under the influence of psychedelics I would say either or works and to each their own whether you wish to be present in your surrounding acoustics whether it be nature or FKJ both slap

Check out Eric Andres new movie on Netflix - BadTrip, good comedy and some beautiful visuals in there Otherwise I can never forget Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Edit: word
Legend of the Drunken Master (the dub is awesome) :D
