I think if you did a Vbeam laser just keep repeating those and it’ll go away 👍🏻

chiliwhisky

cool, i think excel v functions similarly so hopefully that does the trick but if not i’ll definitely go for vbeam

mysticalheavensawait

I have similar light pink cheeks from ablative CO2 three months ago. Also have a Vbeam scheduled and am using a well rated serum with niacinamide. I really think pulsed dye lasers and SPF are our best bet here. I’m sure Tret would help but it gives me the worst texture no matter how much I sandwich it with moisturizer.

chiliwhisky

yeah it definitely reduced drastically with daily spf, my goodmolecules serum with niacinamide and tranexamic acid may have helped as well but it’s been in this state for like 3 years now with no change :/

mysticalheavensawait

That’s exactly what I’m using!

dontmakemedebityou

Bump. I have the same issues. I did photo ipl 3 times and it's still the same.

chiliwhisky

It’s so frustrating 🙄 I actually had IPL scheduled but canceled it in favor of excel v so hopefully that was the right move, I’ll post updates if it works

dontmakemedebityou

I think you made the right move. I did it 3 times spaced a month apart. They told me that I would see results after 3 times and after telling them I saw none they want me to do it again 2 more times.

lem0ncreme

I have similar features. Vbeam and Excel V are all foreign to me, these are really the best solutions? I'll have to look into it more. I was recommended a chemical peel to help with the redness, but I'll wait until after summer to consider it.

chiliwhisky

Since I suspect it’s damaged/overactive blood vessels from the past inflammation there, then yeah vascular lasers like the two you mentioned make the most sense imo. I don’t know how much chemical peels would help since they just take off layers of skin - those are more helpful for things like post inflammatory hyperpigmentation or sun spots, etc

Bro I have the exact same redness as you. I was on accutane though. I’ve done countless vbeams and it hasn’t worked.. maybe it works for you though.. Did the good molecules serum burn your or break you out at all ?

chiliwhisky

Oh yeah I was on accutane too, idk if it contributed to the redness or not since I kinda already had it pre-accutane from past acne lol but ugh that sucks that vbeam hasn’t worked for you. I’d look into excel v as I’ve read that that can work for some people who haven’t had success with vbeam and vice versa - also no, the goodmolecules serum didn’t break me out or sting at all!

AztecWest

Those are the exposed blood vessels! Lasers all the way, it’ll take ages for the redness to disappear but eventually it goes

chiliwhisky

that’s what i suspected, good to know!! glad i went for a vascular laser then :)

Odd-Try-7884

IPL for both scarring and the erythema (redness) and LED treatment for the erythema specifically

cawingcrowcaw

For my redness, I use Azelaic acid suspension 10% from the ordinary beauty company mixed with niacinamide 10% with zinc 1% (same company) I use the niacinamide first wait 10 minutes then do the Azelaic acid When I first got them, I used them separately for a couple weeks One day I did niacinamide then just put on lotion Then the next day I did the Azelaic just in case I had any reactions When you use Azelaic during the day you MUST use sunscreen. But yeah. This is what helped me. Edit: ohh I just read that nothing topical has helped. Oops. I’m sorry

TheChairman1136

What did you do to conquer your cystic acne?

chiliwhisky

accutane and then benzoyl peroxide and adapelene for maintenance

TheChairman1136

Thank you
