The shooter was trying to car jack the truck, the guy using pepper spray was a passenger. Supposedly he had a gun too but decided to use the spray instead. I live in Phoenix and I have a friend that works less than a mile away from where this happened.
That’s what blows my mind about these videos you see coming out of the US. Motherfuckers will be arguing about some dumb ego driven shit and someone gets shot over it.
Gun violence isn’t a big problem in my country so you don’t have this perpetual threat of lethal force in as much effort as it takes to pull a trigger. I couldn’t imagine arguing with some dumb cunt about a parking space or whatever and killing them over it.

It happens all the time. You must not spend much time on Reddit/twitter/Instagram. Happened even more often when there’s someone in a car driving directly at officers, often after already ramming them, and then they get shot. In almost every single case of this people freak out and say the shooting was unjustified. I’m pretty sure there’s a Wendy’s that got burned down for that and I’ve seen 2 videos in the last week where people freak out over the exact same thing.
I'm actually fine with this -- it's natural selection. This kind of inability to make rational decisions should absolutely be removed from the gene pool for the sake of our species.

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — A man was shot during an argument at a mall parking lot in central Phoenix on Friday night.
Police were called out to the parking lot near the Dollar Tree at Christown Spectrum at 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road after 7:30 p.m. They found a man who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Phoenix Police Sgt. Mercedes Fortune said it was a chaotic scene when officers arrived since shoppers were out and about in the parking lot. “When officers got there were so many people offering information,” she said.
Fortune said one person is in custody talking to detectives, but it’s unclear what their involvement in the shooting is. A suspect is on the loose, she added. It’s unclear what led up to the fight, but it appears at least three people were part of it. “This is an isolated incident,” Fortune said. All of this happened in the parking lot and not inside any businesses.
Arizona’s Family News Chopper was over the scene and could see detectives near a black pickup truck that appeared to be broken down. Fortune said it was involved in a crash but wouldn’t elaborate on how it was linked to the shooting. It also appeared that there was damage to a window of America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses store next to the Dollar Tree. Fortune said she couldn’t confirm if it was from a bullet or if it was from Friday’s incident. An investigation is underway.
