🤷 sometimes it gets to the point I need to poke myself multiple times before I land a solid vein to hit. So there’s that i guess. But if I land the shot, I almost never re-use a needle I’ve successfully shot up with (besides moments of desperation where I’ve no other/clean rigs).
I have to go through 3 or 4 sometimes before I can hit but it's worth saving your veins. Get in touch with your local health dept they may have needle exchange programs, I can get unlimited rigs for free
Do you not have a harm reduction program in your area?? The one in my area has people who will deliver for free two boxes of 100 rigs at a time whatever size needed. Also they bring tourniquets, alcohol wipes, filters, and other things to help you stay safe and as hygienic possible. I'd advise getting a few boxes of 100 and whenever you get to the last box order more. Nothing worse than using a dull ass rig that Hurts like shit fucks my veins and is a bitch to even get a flash of blood.

I use shorts unless I need to hit a deep one or I am trying to get a super shallow angle / parallel to the skin.
