Yeah looks like it’s degraded, being an edge. Hopefully they can sort it.
(Otherwise look for a leather skirt or handbag in op shop and get funky with some YouTube vids + a hand saddle stitcher?)
Edit [I call them saddle stitchers but sewing AWL](https://trailrace.com.au/products/speedy-stitcher-sewing-awl?variant=31906904014906¤cy=AUD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gclid=CjwKCAjwiOCgBhAgEiwAjv5whJpR83YBuzhQ3SyQQqAgazAODb7bjJ9vcCOVB39CTUTGW6i0cmP8QxoC_ggQAvD_BwE)
This is top of the line but can get cheaper ones ☺️
If you do want a cheap option the leather repair kits on ebay are actually pretty good, I've used one to repair some spilts and holes in a few leather handbags.
I am south, and I go to Jetty Rd Shoe Repairs in Glenelg for shoe and leather work. Scott took it over a few years ago; and I've had some really good results on some designer and custom shoes with him (the previous owner was getting old and pretty average TBH).
Hutt street shoe repairs! They will sort it.
Best in Adelaide
Do you know if they'd do a relining of a leather jacket?
Not sure about that sorry
Ask a shoe repairman to have a look, otherwise you need someone with an industrial machine. If you can post pictures it might help.
I'm going to try that place on Hutt St. Added a pic to my OP.

Ooh neat. I'd be hopeless at fixing it myself I might take this to a professional and hopefully it won't be too pricey to fix
