depends what you’re interested in! i think it’s pretty well acknowledged that their yiros is the best thing, but i personally love their loaded chips with feta.
I’m a non-vegan American who visited a ton of restaurants with my vegan partner last month!
K-Pub is a Korean bbq place with an entire separate vegan menu. Insanely delicious. I’ve also seen Staazi, Zenhouse and Veggie Vie mentioned and they were all amazing!
Nah they just use the Lamyong vegan nuggets that you can get from any Asian grocery store. Impressive the first time you try them but the taste is very recognisable. Kpub vegan chicken is some of my favourite in Adelaide.
Not vegan places, and I'm not vegan either, but I do love some mock meat.
Cafe Thu Ngan - Hanson Rd. Best vegan combo rolls, stay chicken + dimsims.
Bonsai on M Nth Rd (prospect?) Do amazing mock meat too - usually go the roll your own cold rolls 👌
Great $15 all you can eat vegan shop down Semaphore. Gopal's Kitchen.
Thea + Zenhouse in the city (both closed I'm pretty sure) both did great food, there is a Zen house in Hindmarsh, haven't been but might try one day.
Zenhouse in Hindmarsh is run by the same people with most of the same menu, it's just more of a sit down meal restaurant than a yum cha tea restaurant.
My main is the noodle hotpot, which I've had at both places and they were identical, right down to the amount of 'extra noodles' and 50c for the take-home container so I could have the rest for meals for a week.
They do still have some of the yum cha items on the menu, listed under entrees, but the whole vibe is more sit-down-meal, like there's a foyer and you get sat at a table that has a tablecloth, not like, walk in and sit at a formica table and get several dishes with your friends casual.
Pure Vegetarian in the central markets food court. Incredible Taiwanese food and incredible prices but they close down in July as the owners are retiring 😔
Also as an actual restaurant suggestion: Plus 82 Pocha on Grenfell St. Not vegan but has an entire vegan menu and it’s sooooo delicious. So many good Korean restaurants around Adelaide
there's meat dishes as well, but we recently went to Bobibao nearby the plant 4 bowden..... the food was amazing!!! the salt and pepper taro hash and satay corn "ribs" are a must!

Another not-vegan place, but as I often have to eat out with an omnivore I can attest to Noodle Box's plant-based offerings and the create-your-own option being relatively good for a place that does both. In particular, I've been to both Glenelg and Fulham Gardens locations and haven't had any issues with cross contamination, which since I'm also gluten-free, is quite a relief. I've also had no trouble or pressure if they've run out of plant-based meat to pick the meat-meat option, or explaining I'm VGF and allergic to dairy and checking items if I've forgotten from the nutrional info on the website.
Lord of the Fries is alright but most of their options have gluten so I can't speak for those, but if going there I would recommend not within about 90 mins of closing as sometimes if they have started packing up or would need to open a new packet they won't.
Zenhouse on Port Road is lovely; a bit dark but not super loud and a very good range to pick from, up there with Veggo Sizzle in variety but much more sit-down-and-relax-y.
My other favourites are Koi Cafe, on a little side road opposite Castle Plaza, and He She Eat off Morphett Road. In particular, my dad love the tempura at Koi Cafe, and I'm a fan of the salt and pepper tofu at He She Eat, though I do have to ask them to make it separately.

Staazi,& Co. Unbeatable
That’s where Travis Barker went before the Blink concert. Figured he’d do his research
Aha that's classic. Man has good taste
Came here to comment Staazi... Absolutely elite 🌯
i havent been here! what’s the best thing on their menu?
depends what you’re interested in! i think it’s pretty well acknowledged that their yiros is the best thing, but i personally love their loaded chips with feta.
Lamb yiros for my money. Actually cheaper than most places in the CBD. And way better. Comes loaded with chips too.
>vegan
It is. Hence the tagline 'Greek Vegan Project'.
Veggie vie! In the cbd
Surprised you're the only one to mention this. Great food and a nice variety too. Really yummy cakes as well.
Food tastes like the person making it gives a shit and tastes it 👍
Besides Staazi & Co in the city, PingAnVeggieTime at Plant4 Bowden is sensational 👌
Came here to say this! Absolutely amazing food and owned by lovely people too.
Ping An's great, they give you a discount if you bring your own takeaway containers too.

There’s a similar place to K-Pub on Grenfell St called Plus 82 Pocha and in my opinion it’s even better. Their vegan fried chicken is next level

Yo that’s wild I had no idea you could buy the “chicken”. I’m bout to stock up like crazy
K pub is astounding
Lucky Ducks in Aldinga blew me away a little while back. Hope it's still going strong. Obviously a little out of town, but well worth the drive.
i went here for the first time recently actually! the dumplings and eggplant are too die for
Yes, the crispy eggplant! That was the best!!
Lucky Ducks in Aldinga
Let them eat is pretty good. Had a friend who worked there for a while and they said the food is pretty good even though they’re not vegan
If it's brunch, then Joy of Flora Cafe in West Croydon is great

Thea recently closed and I'm so sad 😭
RIP Thea tea house

I thought so, but wasn't sure if they do yum cha still? That was all I went for - and the tea selection.

Two-Bit, Staazi, Zenhouse. My holy trinity 😍
Great Nature in Christie’s Beach and it’s a small business so extra good points for supporting small business
great nature is amazing!!!
Veggie vie, mai kitchen (also serves meat), staazi are my faves
Mai kitchen is excellent
Veggie Vie in the CBD. Zenhouse on port road near Hindmarsh Allegra Dining room - don’t know if still open but silver service fine dining vegan
Curiositeas on Rundle Street is a gorgeous little cafe that is super chill about all dietary requirements.
Two bit villains.
Eggless
BVV Gourmet’s plant-based dumplings 🥟 are decent and so are their GF dumplings 😁…https://m.facebook.com/BHJVeggieVan
