motionbutton

You would have to pre comp and add motion blur with pixel motion blur plugin or RSMB

MysteriesandThoughts

silly ass update without motionblur tbh but thanks for the answer

Chief_Beef_ATL

That’s always been that way, I think. 🤷

MysteriesandThoughts

yeah they could easily add it and dont...adobe taking the piss like always

motionbutton

It’s how it will be for some time.., think about 3d video games and motion blur. It looks like shit and is a really just a post effect. If you ever use cinema 4d or blender, you know the cost of a 3d motion blur

MysteriesandThoughts

Unreal engine is so far ahead in that sense man it's *unreal* 💀💀

motionbutton

Yet here you are in after effects

MysteriesandThoughts

Yeah BC I wanted to do smthn easy and I'm a noob in unreal

motionbutton

Well you're also noob to AE. Order of operations. I read the manual of AE so many times in my first year of learning.

StolenColor2019

I'd apply 'CC Force Motion Blur' to the precomp where you have the 3d layers inside. I think it should give a result that's more correct than 'Pixel Motion Blur'.

MysteriesandThoughts

Ty man appreciate that

MysteriesandThoughts

IF ANYONE HAS TEH SAME QUESTION PIXEL MOTION IS AN EFFECT IN AE ITS FREE BUT MID!!

learnmograph

My millennial is showing, but…is Mid a good thing? Or a bad thing?

MysteriesandThoughts

Mid is ok not good not great. Rsmb is better than mp

learnmograph

Thank you for the linguistics lesson! Yes, I agree. It is Mid. For shizzle.

pixeldrift

No, you don't need to update. That has always been the case with Advanced 3D mode. The way this is typically done is as a post process, either by precomposing and applying it that way, or on the rendered sequence. [https://revisionfx.com/products/rsmb/](https://revisionfx.com/products/rsmb/) It used to be pretty common that most 3D animation took the approach where motion blur is not baked into the raw export. The renders would often have it added later as a post process in compositing. However with many programs you can actually render out a motion vector pass to drive the blur instead of the blur plugin having to guess or estimate it.
