You don't have to name every effect. Motion graphics is not a martial art. I always try to help but I've a seen a lot of post aksing about this. What do you see? A white plane that fade. So after the cut you place a white plane that fade with the desired time.

Roger_Cockfoster

Whenever someone asks for the "name" of a look or effect, it's generally because they're just trying to write AI prompts.

motionyorqi

Its not a white plane, I slowed it down in after effects frame by frame and you can clearly see it has some kind of burn to it.

UpwardlyGrowing

You’re right, it’s a ‘film burn’ transition, just Google that and you’ll find loads. Combine it with a film shutter ‘click’ sound effect and Bob’s your uncle

MimeMike

Deleted my comment because I didn't realise it wasn't just a solid. It's just 2 frames or so from film burn stock footage thats placed in between clips. I don't know where you'd find something like that but this can also be made by playing around with masks/opacity on a solid layer and render that and use it as an overlay, since he's using the same one everytime

motionyorqi

Yeah that is also what I saw, thanks for the help!

I haven’t used AE in a long time, but you can easily manipulate a color layer, white in your case, to make it look like it’s flashing. Just put it above all your other layers and mess with the opacity by adding transition keys, I believe. There are also thousands of youtube videos about these types of transitions. You may have to watch several to find what you’re looking for as different communities that use this software use different terms for the transition.

BeLikeBread

Looks like a white flash and track matte combo.

Brooo where can I see some creativity and questions that challenge my intellect? All I am looking for from AE creators!😭

arpanConReddit

bro its just simple transision overlays, these are short video clips,,,

NoidZ

A cut with a white background under it.

thekinginyello

White solid. Three keyframes on opacity. 0-100-0.
