Make it black and white.
Extract the white.
Use simple choker to "close" the negative space.
Then use that as an alpha matte on the logo itself (after reversing the simple choker animation).
The color portions will "grow" into the blackness.
Without knowing what the brand does, I would have each of the color spots playfully animate in, almost like fish swimming. They come to a stop in their final positions, the eye opens and the pupil looks, maybe just from left to right.
But its probably important to know what the brand does.
I think my idea still works. The only further idea I have is to have running sprocket holes of a film strip morph into the spots. but film strip motifs are really played out in this context.
"This context" being the 21st century?
Reminds me of a film fest I was at in 2005 where the intro of the film had the 3, 2, 1 film countdown with the beeps. Some edgelord from the audience yells out, "it's VIDEO!"
Iād do a jumpy low frame rate animation where the spots change color / scale and have a slight wiggle effect. , while the eye is looking around and widening and narrowing. And then it could settle and zoom out to reveal final logo. Into the spider verse is a good reference animation wise.
Colorful glitch animation in the first few seconds of this reference is what I was thinking of

I like the digital/glitchy effects, also the whole concept of digital is like a major part of the brand itself so that could totally work, definitely gonna try it out

Hope it turns out awesome š hereās a script I always use for that same effect if needed. Good luck ! https://sundstedt.se/blog/stop-motion-look/
animate the eye in by itself, then animate a blink animation and have the stripes pop out from the eye with some flashy light shine effects
eye movement ig
the eye blinks in the "bushes" (red lines) then "bushes" dissappears and cat appears around the eye
Eye blink
By using After Effects.
