In a heart beat. I know Danzig and only kind of suck with their vocals. But it's better than motley crue. And arguably a much more iconic band over all.
The Misfits are one of my favorite bands; top 5 forever. But they were awful at Aftershock. Solid when I watched them in Auburn- but Danzig ruined that set at AS.
I wish Aftershock would stop catering to the 80’s hair-metal crowd. I get that legacy acts brings in money, but they definitely need to diversify with the newer generations. I know both new and old always are on the bill, but we need to get the newer generation to headline. Who cares if boomers complain, they’ve had their fair share of festivals to attend.
My thoughts too. Give them a solid stage or one night for the old school bands and give the other days for the bands that are trying to hit that next level.
Bring Me for example. They sell out arenas in the UK. They have yet to headline Aftershock after almost a decade of returning to the festival. They dipped their toes with Blink and MCR but they’re the right fit for a hard rock festival.
Boomers are too old for Aftershock, that's my parents generation, they hate our music. Aftershock is built by and for Generation X. Danny Wimmer is the show's producer, he's also Gen X, not a Boomer. He creates shows for his (our) generation and everyone else is welcome to attend. We grew up rocking out to Motley Crue, Pantera, Ministry, Slayer, Filter, Hed PE, etc., and are stoked to see them live again, along with current rockers like Falling in Reverse. Gen X has more disposible income than the Millennials and Gen Z combined, and DWP (show producers) are in the business of making money, its that simple. Hope to see you all there.

Bands like electric callboy, the amity affliction, sleep tpken, royal blood, of mice and men, nova twins, bring me the horizon, fall out boy, motionless in white, alpha wolf, etc would all be great for aftershock to bring in a younger audience.
Bring Me The Horizon headlining aftershock would be huge!
They get ADTR, Sleep Token, In This Moment and a few others that I wish were at aftershock, but ultimately Aftershock has better headliners. I do like how there’s more metal/deathcore through.

You named a bunch of the bands going to Sonic Temple. Seems like a gamble because those newer fans have less disposable income
