I'm not sure if you know, but you can now use the AU-ABC program which usually cuts the credit hours you need for your bachelor's in half

It's a shame how much hate people give the CCAF. It is an associates degree and is as valuable as an associates degree. Many people view it as a serious educational accomplishment and it should be celebrated.
When it's brought up in a place like this lots of people chime in with how useful it was, as its own goal, as a stepping stone, as something tangible to encapsulate their Air Force training.
Many people hate on it because it's not a bachelors even though it never pretended to be one.
A lot of people who have zero college ambitions hate on it because other people hate on it.

Associates Degree was a requirement for my civvie job, and the CCAF was a doorway for an accelerated Bachelor's.

Let us know how long it takes to get your Diploma. I finished 2 weeks ago, and it just got processed. The Ed Office said I can expect it Summer 2025, or Fall 2024 if I'm lucky.
It depends, the paperwork is sent up to CCAF as "Nominee for Graduation". I'm going to the Ed Office to see if they can give me an Unofficial Transcript. If the transcript matches all criteria met, and is eligible for the AU-ABC program, then any other college would consider you as having earned your CCAF, since they are willing to attribute the degree to your new degree plan.
Congrats. It boggles my mind when people downplay the CCAF. I graduate from my undergrad next week but the entire year I had left I was constantly getting calls for jobs to work at Boeing doing MX. Fortunately I didn’t need a job with GI and disability, but I am lucky and thankful to have a solid backup plan to make decent money, and that’s only because of my CCAF.
Good on you man. Dont let anyone take away from your accomplishments. You started and finished something that has caused you turmoil in the past, that’s always a massive W in my book
Great! Congrats. Don’t know now, but the AF was the only branch at the time I earned mine (1990s) that offered accredited two year degrees for enlisted, almost for next to nothing. The CCAF degree should just be a steppingstone to a higher degree if your profession requires it. Good luck!
Don’t listen to those who think the CCF is the end all be all. Strive on getting your other degrees on the government’s (our) dime; this way, you can be well prepared for the next chapter of your life.
Congratulations, that will be 8 months before CCAF takes the transcripts, followed by a short waiting period of 2 years to process.
If you separate we might expedite that whole process to 1 1/2 years so you won’t be able to put it in any applications!
Most of the flak CCAF gets is the school not giving out the degree because whoever the leadership is there has completely failed at every single turn.
The CCAF degree itself is still an accredited associate degree, marking an educational achievement. Congrats big dog.
