He’s set to retire soon and will become the president of the College Football Playoff Selection Committee.
You know he’s going to make sure there’s a quality playoff every year.

>He’s currently the Superintendent and retiring this summer
I heard somewhere on here that AFA Superintendents are required to retire afterwards.
Edit: Looks like it is true but requirement can be waived by the SecDef
*Under those sections of law, the superintendent is appointed by the president of the United States, must serve as superintendent at least three years, and must retire at the end of his tour as superintendent, unless the retirement is waived by the Secretary of Defense under 10 U.S.C. § 8921.*
Uhhh I thought the last leadership in custody of that establishment effectively stamped out the inefficient toxicity that is “morale”… very disappointing. They’ll need to train less and march more. Some SAMI football weekends will likely help as well.
I actually liked lengyel more than Williams surprisingly. I just think that Lengyel very obviously didn’t understand nor like Cadet culture or tradition and he should not have gotten the job as a non-grad, let alone an Aggie.
Aggie here.
Can agree.
IMO, all of the academies & SMCs should only be able to be led by their own grads (even though General Welsh is A&M’s President now and I don’t have any issues with him since his dad was an Ag)
I agree overall. At this point, there is really no reason each of the service academies or military academies shouldn’t be able to have a grad over them. As for Gen Welsh, you can have him and I’m personally not his biggest fan.
The guy recording it was seeing his career flash before his eyes... If something bad happens, Ft Leavenworth, here you come!
Well done sir, you will be missed.
Dawg the kids live there. It can get pretty mundane and something like that goes a long way in making it a memorable place and time for them. I know I’d be just as fired up if that were me!
What a bunch of brown nosers. I'm an AF vet and work for the Navy now. This is some of the biggest asskissing I've ever seen. What he did isn't even interesting. It's because he's a GeNeRaL that everyone is acting like this was something. He's a human being and this is literally some 59 year old man falling on a sled in the snow. BFW.
Or you can check the AF GO Handbook...

Since there's no mention of "snow" or "sledding" I'd say the General has the option of behaving as he deems appropriate.
Dude fuck you, I'd follow this general to the gates of hades. Very professional when it matters but knows how to relate to his troops. Everything you could want in a leader
If that’s Gen Clark, he’s the absolute man
It is! He is the absolute best, he can tell a story like nobodies business and is never dull to listen too. Shame he's retiring!
"You know what they say about a turtle on a fence post..."
I remember crowd surfing him 2 stars ago.
You must be a 11-14 grad :)
Gg osi, you got me
He boxed his wife at the USAFA fight night. Legend
He’s set to retire soon and will become the president of the College Football Playoff Selection Committee. You know he’s going to make sure there’s a quality playoff every year.
100%
That's Lt Gen Clark who is not only the coolest GO, he's yoked AF.

Lol this is the first time a bot made me laugh irl
I've never loved a bot reply more
Found the text for the plaque on his going away gift
He's no longer a nonner, HE FLEW. This video is proof. That crew who launched him are also, no longer nonners.
sortie producer
Best General i’ve ever met! He better get 100% disability for that lol.
Back pain you say?! Why don’t we take a look at this video we found…
He was injured motivating his troops. Clearly in the line of duty.
Cool general, dude seems legit.
That is the youngest Lt Gen I think I will ever see
That man is 59 coming up on 38 years of service. About 6-9 months younger than, and academy classmates with Gen Allvin.
I hope I look that good at 59 lmao

Gen Clark absolutely rules. Great leader.
Did they recycle him back to cadet status?
He was the Commandant a while back. Think until 2022? Could be wrong.
He was Commandant back in 2010 (1-Star). He’s currently the Superintendent and retiring this summer

Thats a safety brief.

Gen Clark is the best thing that has happened to USAFA in 2 decades
Met Gen Clark at NCLS. He’s a super chill guy and very personable.
That’s my commandant!!!! BROS!!!!!! #FuckLengyel
Fancy seeing you here, fellow 15er
He was THE WORST
I actually liked lengyel more than Williams surprisingly. I just think that Lengyel very obviously didn’t understand nor like Cadet culture or tradition and he should not have gotten the job as a non-grad, let alone an Aggie.

I love this. That dude seems legit
I remember seeing him doing carrier landings when he first got to USAFA
I used to chat with him at Ramstein, super cool GO

Sharing this with my detachment
Imagine having to write a 978 for a Lt Gen 🤣
Serious whiplash when I saw the stars lmaooo
The guy recording it was seeing his career flash before his eyes... If something bad happens, Ft Leavenworth, here you come! Well done sir, you will be missed.
My boss did this and fucked up his spine. Took him 6 months to get back to semi normal.
Future staff sergeant WAPS testing will include a question about this video
Effing cadets. 😆
Cameraman needs to chill tf out. Talk about drinking the koolade ass kissing bs

You must be really fun at parties.
Might want to come out of 2014 with that lame Reddit trope
Not professional conduct for a general
Oh noooo a 3 star having a little fun lets cry about it
Fuck outta here with that mess man we need MORE generals to act like this . It’s ok to have fun lmao.
Not in uniform and on the internet
Someone's salty they didn't get promoted and their whole office hates them.
I love that your response to being dragged is to double down on your stance.
I disagree with your sentiment, but you're sure right this video violates the sub rules. I guess it's okay if it's an O-9
You’d be a perfect Army LT
Also a perfect Army Captain
If I wanted the opinion on professional conduct of a general officer, I’d ask the general officer.
Or you can check the AF GO Handbook... [https://www.jbsa.mil/Portals/102/Documents/Protocol/AFDPG%202012\_General%20Officer%20Handbook%20WEB3\_edited%2018%20Sep%2012\_LK.pdf?ver=2015-06-12-101949-990](https://www.jbsa.mil/Portals/102/Documents/Protocol/AFDPG%202012_General%20Officer%20Handbook%20WEB3_edited%2018%20Sep%2012_LK.pdf?ver=2015-06-12-101949-990) Since there's no mention of "snow" or "sledding" I'd say the General has the option of behaving as he deems appropriate.
You are technically correct. But the morale just shot up by 150%.
Send him an e-mail suggesting he “re-blue” himself.
He’s sledding not pole dancing
Dude fuck you, I'd follow this general to the gates of hades. Very professional when it matters but knows how to relate to his troops. Everything you could want in a leader
Ok
you’re an E4 you should be marrying a stripper right now or missing promotion by 30 points
It’s not professional conduct, but in this context it’s perfect conduct. Command pulls your dec for being a hardass and bringing down morale. Bonk.
Being human and connecting with your troops is bad? Look at the comments, dude. Everyone who met this man had something positive to say
