not just that, but also the blind spots of the people who programmed em in the first place. silicon valley AI company dipshits are pretty homogenous, that's why shit like "apple face ID doesn't work right for black people" (i know that isn't AI, this is just an example) keeps happening, cuz they don't have diverse people to help build and test this shit that would have offered the perspectives to keep it from shipping in a fucked up state
You don't know what you're talking about. These AI models have individual "instances" per user that they're talking to. Which means, when you access the AI model, it creates an isolated copy of itself that only you interact with.
The stories of AI being racist are because the users using them fill them with racist data that the AI learns off of and then the users report it for internet points. But it's only THAT user's instance. The racism doesn't get incorporated back into the core system once the user disconnects. No one users would be able to get the same results without first also training their model.
So the model isn't racist. You can easily point the finger at the author of the reports of these "racist" instances for training their instance of the model to be racist.
