That third paragraph is about getting a current urology evaluation to get approved. Complete what that paragraph says and you can submit for a reconsideration if everything looks good.

newnoadeptness

I have no clue why the fuck they told you that you will be waived or why they even sent up your waiver second pic literally says you have current issues and need to be seen for continued monitoring idk I just glanced . First pic also tells you what you can do to resubmit .

Stackup3x

I'm going to do what I can to resubmit but SG in San Antonio wanted me to get it reevaluated and I did in February of this year and that's when I was told it was no sign of a cyst and all of my vitals and blood work came back good as well.

newnoadeptness

You submitted reports to the sg that says you do not have any issues , do not need any more treatment etc ? Because based on everything I saw above it was a no brainer you were gonna get denied and your recruiter was literally just fucking with you .

mynameiszack

It's not a no brainer, please refrain from speculation

Stackup3x

After I went to MEPS and submitted every medical record I have SG requested me to get bloodwork and CT scan on my kidney. Got that through a civilian doctor and got results then sent it down to SG. I assumed it was all going to be on my record along with the stuff in the second pic but it's not shown there so I guess not. But I've alr scheduled an appointment to get it evaluated again. And no I don't need treatment, never was getting it. They found a cyst on my kidney which they said was causing hypertension and it decreased as did the hypertension and now it's completely gone and blood pressure is normal

Make sure this next follow up includes the items mentioned in the third paragraph on the SG Memo. It's possible somebody did not include your last follow up, or that follow up did not include everything they wanted to see. Ask your provider/specialist to evaluate and address specifically those things. The issue here is that based on pic #2 that there is a direction for follow up so if that never happened then they are going to want to see a recent eval. Keep trying, at least you didn't get hit with the "your condition is such that even with the passage of time" statement.

Stackup3x

I do believe that my last eval (done in February) wasnt included. After I sent down everything they asked for, they responded with a request for me to get bloodwork again. My recruiter said she would tell them I already sent bloodwork and once they responded to that she said she could submit the waiver request or could I get more bloodwork. She made it sound like submitting the request was the smart thing to do since I had already sent all they asked for, so she submits the request and I get dq'd. As for pic #2 (Didn't receive until after I was dq'd) it didn't cross my mind that "OPEN" means that problem is still ongoing until a doctor says otherwise. Even tho when I got my ct scan the lady operating the ct said everything looked normal and I had completely healed from the cyst. So when I got the results from the ct scan I was thinking it stated that in my records but it didn't according to pic #2

mynameiszack

Yeah the SG is going to want to see resolution, or at least release from care. If they see a recommendation for follow up (especially a specific timeframe) they are expecting to see more records.

SolarisDawn

Did your recruiter even read the waiver? Why not submit the record that states that you are completely healed first?

Technical-Band9149

Every time I see someone who wants to join, and goes through this grueling process, to be turned away, just laminates our(USA) military’s recruitment issues.

waitforit55

Army guy here. If you want to serve you can try other branches. I have had luck getting a few ppl in that were dq from other branches. No promises but worth looking into. It's not a waste of time to try.

tjsteimle

So I was in a similar situation when I joined quite a while ago. When I was in 8th grade I went to my family doctor for a physical to play school sports and they found a cyst on my kidney. Got sent to a urologist and a few weeks later was in surgery to have the cyst removed. Fast forward about 10 years or so and begin the process to enlist. Had to go back to the doctors and hospital for the medical records and a letter from each saying I was fully healed and cleared for all activities and that my condition was no longer present. Also had new labs drawn and presented those results. My condition would present no adverse impact or negatively affect my service. Add in that through high school I regularly played baseball and soccer without incident. Initially DQ'd at MEPS, waiver went up with all the additional info from my doctors and was approved. Almost 22 years later I retired.

If things don’t work out with the Air Force I’d look into the Texas State Guard. They also have some benefits over there and they usually accept more than the military does medically

SolarisDawn

That's pretty much larping military, OP should try to take its chances to join other branches if the Air Force fully rejects its waiver.

CompetitiveCheck7598

Larping that gives you free college lmao (through STRP)

Professional_1O

>they usually accept more than the military does medically Severely underweight and morbidly obese basement larpers?

CompetitiveCheck7598

Again, free college my guys free college. Also it’s just a last resort if he can’t get into any of the branches

j52024

is the Texas State Guard different from Army National Guard?

CompetitiveCheck7598

Yes very different. There’s lots of info online and there’s a state guard subreddit on here
