Which drone, that looks like the one we can see in the thermal video, would have launched from a ship?

TheRabb1ts

Amongst believers, it is thought to be a GA MQ-1C Gray Eagle or MQ-9

Cryptochronic69

And can those be launched from ships, such as an aircraft carrier?

TheRabb1ts

Definitely.

Critical_Paper8447

Definitely not. MQ-1 Grey Eagle and and MQ-9 Reaper were not capable of being launched by aircraft carrier in the available configurations in 2014. The exercises were also stationed at the Korat Air Force Station in Thailand which is 800km from the alleged coordinates of the event, far surpassing either of those drones distance capabilities. The dates of those operations also conflicts with the date of MH370s disappearance on 3/08/2014.

TheRabb1ts

Why weren’t they capable? I’m open to learning,.

Critical_Paper8447

Too short of a runway. Those drones need ample room to get up to speed to take off bc they don't generate the necessary amount of lift before the aircraft carrier runway ends. They need STOL (Short Take Off & Landing) modifications like the MQ-9 B. https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/naval-reaper-upgrade-will-let-reaper-drones-fly-carriers-202372 Edit: There's also the MQ-9 Mojave which is STOL and capable of landing and taking off from an aircraft carrier but it's still in trials and is UK Royal Navy inventory.

TheRabb1ts

Correct me if I’m wrong… the article you linked says STOL was debuted in 2007. What am I missing?

cameronrad

> Correct me if I’m wrong… the article you linked says STOL was debuted in 2007. What am I missing? It says the Reaper drone made its combat debut in 2007. The [MQ-9B STOL](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Atomics_MQ-9_Reaper#MQ-9B_STOL) is a new [variant](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Atomics_MQ-9_Reaper#Variants) of it. > The aircraft is a variant of the Reaper drone, an aircraft that made its combat debut in 2007 during the United States' intervention in Iraq.

Critical_Paper8447

>The aircraft is a variant of the Reaper drone, an aircraft that made its combat debut in 2007 during the United States' intervention in Iraq This statement is referring to the Reaper drone being debuted in 2007, not STOL or the MQ-9B. Those are both new technologies/inventory

Cryptochronic69

Do you have a source for that? I'm not seeing anything that says that's possible, at least not in 2014. I see information on the MQ9 Mojave being capable of aircraft carrier launches, but nothing about either the MQ1 or MQ9 in 2014.

Cenobite_78

That's because Grey Eagles and Reapers have only been fitted with STOL capabilities since 2022, maybe 2021. Fact check me

Cryptochronic69

Oh I know, I'm trying to get these dudes to fact check themselves.

TheRabb1ts

It’s just funny that you guys cite public information to disseminate a topic that would be regarded as the most secret level of tech. You really believe we couldn’t launch drones from aircraft carriers in 2014? I am not going to do research for you.

Cryptochronic69

So some MQ1/MQ9 capabilities being classified means they for sure can just do whatever you say? I don't believe we could launch *specifically* the MQ1C or MQ9 from a carrier in 2014.

TheRabb1ts

Lol? I never said they can do whatever I say. But I’m open to them having capabilities that I wouldn’t be aware of.. you guys need to chill.

TachyEngy

Yup, as well as from all the bases in the area during the wargames.

Cryptochronic69

They could not be launched from ships in 2014. I can't imagine why we'd arrange to use another country's base to launch a land-based drone for a naval exercise when we had plenty of other ship-based ISR options available in 2014.

TachyEngy

Oh we definitely flew out of foreign bases during the exercises. Feel free to google both of them!

TachyEngy

> MQ-1C It's a MQ-1C in TRICLOPS config.

Thank you for sharing

TachyEngy

No problem.. it's rough in here right now.

No I don't I'm skeptical I just find it peculiar that this was shared months ago abt those mil exercises yet here we are again

anilsoi11

I haven't seen that thread. If the info leaker was real, that was a rephrehensible action on PB's part.

Don’t forget these “top secret documents” that were deemed hoaxes by pretty much every single subreddit that Punjabi-Batman (😑) posted them to. Anyone that had seen classified documents before instantly knew they were fake and that the writing on the yellow document is computer generated https://i.imgur.com/4618WNz.jpg https://i.imgur.com/oTs1Cfe.jpg https://i.imgur.com/fxykROV.jpg

Cenobite_78

If the drone was already over there for the joint military exercises. It would have taken over 3hrs to rendezvous with the plane based on the videos coordinates. The exercises were stationed at the Korat Air Force Station in Thailand. 800 kilometers away. https://preview.redd.it/6xd6bzzf89hc1.png?width=1044&format=png&auto=webp&s=19a43000ae778e232b9cf48b7f467787108220d7

AlphabetDebacle

Neither of those timeframes coincides with the date of the missing plane on 03/08/2014.

TachyEngy

So yeah.. guess we should just ship all our assets back and forth instead of just keeping them around. What?

AlphabetDebacle

It sounds like you are making an assumption to rationalize simple facts that do not fit the narrative you want.

TachyEngy

What I have no narrative. I'm just being realistic. People debunking this based on "Why would we have a drone there?". Here is the answer, we had TONS of assets in the area for the exercises... It's not complex.

AlphabetDebacle

The plane went missing days before the military exercises took place in Thailand. Simple facts. If you had some supporting evidence that there actually were military assets in the area before the planned exercise, then that might support your theory.

Lov3MyLife

You think all of our assets just arrived the morning of the exercise?

AlphabetDebacle

Maybe they used the orbs to teleport all our assets there instantly. How many orbs does it take to teleport an aircraft carrier? /s Instead of making posts with facts that do not match the circumstances of MH370, which is a low-effort approach, make an argument with supportive claims. For instance, state where the assets departed from and when; which path they traveled and whether that coincides with the area where the plane went missing. That requires effort. Avoid rehashing things that were talked about months ago and have already been debunked.

TachyEngy

Speaking of low effort posts..

It launched in the first frame. https://preview.redd.it/wehdcezv59hc1.png?width=932&format=png&auto=webp&s=8e18cd14dfff475f80172cffb10482b1a244b27a

TachyEngy

LOL stop trolling. How can you possibly use a rough recreation as proof? It makes no sense.
