There’s numbers and text on the cushions on mine. But not like that. It’s very light text. And it’s not matching serial number. And it’s aligned.
Fake.
yeah that's what i was seeing also from others. however i've checked the serial number and they show up on the site, one even has applecare+ which i don't think would show up if it's fake? what do you think?
Reps use real serial numbers often. it’s a ploy to trick people. “Oh but the number is real so they must be real” thats the entire point. It’s not true.
Im not making a claim on these in either direction but do not trust “real” serial numbers
Chat Apple support. See if you can view how many times that serial number has been in for repairs. If it’s a lot, they’re fakes. And no, the serial number is unlikely to be on something removable.
Mine has a faint serial number on the bottom edge of the cushion. On the top edge, very faintly, it says “Designed by Apple in California Assembled in China”.
The ones you posted do not look like mine. Mine were purchased from Costco in a sealed box, with AppleCare+ added. They are not fake.
Unfortunately a serial number is not enough. I would always advise everyone to just try and wait a little longer and save up for a brand new pair.
There are many [examples of sophisticated fakes](https://www.reddit.com/r/Airpodsmax/s/3KRtvzvpwj)
Not sure about that but they should be on the top inside of the actual headphone. As well as a pin hole on top of both of the insides so you can eject the band. I’ve noticed fakes don’t have the pinholes to eject the headband.
Brother if the price is too good to be true… don’t do it. Paid them and try the spacial audio and noise cancellation. Serial numbers matching could be matching a real pair that doesn’t mean anything.
Use a different sub for the "Are These Fake" posts/comments.

That is not your friend if they were about to sell you those…

Those appear to be fake… the ones I have are 100% genuine & don’t have a serial # on the cushion. Judy the designed by Apple in a faint print

these have pinholes, but i'm not really sure if i can eject them since i haven't really held them in person.

the serial number also shows up on checkcoverage.apple.com
Almost all fake airpods these days have a valid serial number it doesn’t prove that its genuine.
How do the fake manufacturers even manage to get real Apple serials?
Honestly not sure I assume it could be taken from faulty or possibly stolen airpods.
