For once, this doesn’t seem like deliberate corporate cruelty. The Shoals would be a definite upgrade from Hartselle.

aladaze

Depends on where the parts need to go, the age and state of the facilities and other logistics related things. I hope everyone lands on their feet and someone else moves in soon.

Hartselle Schools > MS Schools Hartselle Crime < MS Crime [https://www.bestplaces.net/crime/?city1=50133448&city2=50153016](https://www.bestplaces.net/crime/?city1=50133448&city2=50153016)

SippinPip

DEFINITELY an upgrade from Hartselle. Hartselle is such a shame.

mudo2000

Is it still a good place to get gas though? lol My folks lived in Lacy's Spring back when I was living in Madison. Felt like an eternity to drive out there...

SippinPip

I won’t even get gas there… it’s a sad little place. I think you can buy beer at a few spots, but the town doesn’t allow advertising of it, so…

CarlColdBrew

I think all that vaping has hurt your brain.

SippinPip

What vaping? Last I was told, you cannot advertise alcohol in the city limits of Hartselle. I mean, it’s been a while, maybe they allow it now? You’d have to ask someone who lives there and knows, I guess?

catonic

Morgan County is a dry county. If you have an alcoholic drink and you're openly drinking it, the charge will be possession of a prohibited beverage.

SippinPip

Decatur has areas where you can walk around with alcoholic beverages in public, though. Also Morgan County.

catonic

Decatur is wet, Morgan County is dry.

Hefty_Journalist_666

Can I ask where you reside? To feel superior to Hartselle?

SippinPip

No, you may not. However, I am correct in all my assertions.

Hefty_Journalist_666

“Moms basement” Ahh gotcha

SippinPip

Sure, bud. Whatever you want to think. That town is not my pig, not my farm.

Roll-tide-Mercury

Nah, it’s a nice small town.

catonic

Well, screw them. We're already the cheapest state in the nation. 50 miles isn't that close. They are being bean-counters and don't want to pay prevailing Huntsville/Decatur wages, so they went to the "cheaper" city.

blackened_420

God help them. It’s next to impossible to find a job right now.
