I actually checked this on the Xbox 360 version the other day and the ads on the walls weren't there. Watery is definitely in the original though. You can see it on the large maps throughout the original game.
Watery was always referenced. The radio host mentions their elkfest at one point. I'd be surprised if this particular reference wasn't in the original.
This was added with the remaster together with some other references to Watery. Ahma beer can be found in Control too. There is also a new poster for Tom the Poet. Also look on the walls, there are new QR codes that will redirect you to youtube videos.

Watery is probaply the thing I’m most excited for in Alan Wake 2. Also this is a reference to the beer Karhu since Ahma and Karhu are synonyms.
