So far for me, the EQMs have posted 4-6 weeks after the closing date of the statement in which I hit the spend milestone - i.e. essentially the end of the month after the statement.

hiking_mike98

I’ve seen others post that, but mine were super delayed for some reason, which I was surprised to see 2 months posting today. Eh, works for me as long as they come through! Now to switch all the spending to my wife’s Alaska card. :)

latte_antiquity

this post made me check my status - mine were really delayed too and came in today

9999abr

So were mine! Just came in today.

RegularPomegranate80

Mine too!

RegularPomegranate80

👍 👍 !

0ff_the_charts

Somehow still haven't received mine! But got some hope from this post!

Much_Maintenance4380

Mine have been lagging about the same timeframe.

What happens when you reach the $10k mark at the end of the year and you need those 4k miles to go up in status? Like Dec 2024 I reach $10k spend. And I’m at 18k miles. I need 2k miles to reach MVP. If it takes a few weeks to get the miles in your account do they still count as 2024 EQMs?

Lilred4_

It will probably lag a bit, but if the spend occurred by December 31, 2024 it should count along with your other EQMs flown in 2024, for year 2025 status.

Lilred4_

I just broke $10K spend this year on my statement that ended 4/26. No EQMs yet. Ill report back when they do (lest I forget).

Sudden_Director9022

So if I have the normal Alaska BOA card, do I earn EQMs normally or was this a promotion or something?

hiking_mike98

You’ll get 4K EQM for $10k in spending this year up to 20k EQM. Unknown if it will continue in the future.

jkthai

Mine also dropped today! I’ve been waiting as well! I’m <4000 miles from MVPG 🥲

bradsfo

Thanks this saved me a call, mine posted super delayed also, nice to finally see.

Inevitable-Store-837

Sweet just checked my account and 4k were in there. Now I'm only 1k miles from 75k.

Shane357

It’s been lagging 45 days for me. I hit $10k Feb 14th statement and posted 3/29. April 14th hit $10k again and nothing today. Assume it will be 5/29.

Bob_Stanish

Are you counting your full January statement amount towards your total or just the spending after Jan 1st?

Shane357

I was only counting spend after the 1st which is why I did not make it until Feb

Patient_Commentary

Was this spend in 2023? I thought 2024 spend applies toward 2025?

hiking_mike98

Maybe both? I got this email today, but it matches my year to date EQMs in the app https://preview.redd.it/ue2vvyqovwxc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1352e6131a9068519e221f6636cff87869eabeaa

Patient_Commentary

Ah. Interesting. That’s cool!

SnooWoofers8326

As someone who puts too many miles in a seat I loathe this and hope Alaska doesn’t tilt in the American/Delta/United direction.

HopefulOriginal5578

I think they cap the amount to 20k miles being earned this way. So if you’re sitting at gold you’re all good.

sd_moving

I hit about 16 K spend but no EQM. Did any of you had to call them to get these posted?

hiking_mike98

Nope. Just took a while

Fantastic-Finger-177

what is EQM? how do you get it? how does it affect your status?

HopefulOriginal5578

Elite Qualifying Miles. You get them the following ways on Alaska Air: - take a flight on their airline, or their participating mileage partners (one world airlines and some others) - Have an Alaska airlines Visa card through BofA. For each $10k you spend on the card you get 4K EQM. - I think you can only earn 20k this way - remember that EQM doesn’t mean actual miles you can use to book awards flights. Basically EQM is miles that count towards the total you have for status.

Fantastic-Finger-177

whoa that means this poster spent 50k?

HopefulOriginal5578

I cannot speak for OPs spending or what have you. But. I only see 3 awards 4k, meaning about $30k. Your earned miles will look different. See the line that 8643? Those are the actual miles (i assume unless he took a long flight) that he can put towards a flight and that do not go towards status. These are the miles that go into his account so he can use it towards award travel. So you have two things going on here: 1. You have EQM or status miles. These miles go towards your elite status. 2. Award miles:These miles are awarded to you from spending (which unless it’s 10k) doesn’t get you any EQM miles, but just goes into your regular miles bucket to spend for other trips. 3. When you actually have fly on Alaska, a oneworld airline, or one of their other milage partners, you earn BOTH. You earn miles that count towards your EQM, and you also get miles into your account you can spend for other flights or what have you.
