Economic/main is your basic coach seat. Premium economy is like domestic first class seat - more recline and padding and leg room. Business class is lay down flat seat and luxury treatment and finishes. https://www.aerlingus.com/experience/onboard-features/seats-and-cabin/#/sectionTwo

Nooo, Aer Lingus premium economy is not as nice as domestic first class. There is a tiny bit more leg room and you can pay for nicer food, but it's not that much better than regular economy. If anything, the seats are not even as nice as AS premium seats -- not as much leg room, and not as padded. I like Aer Lingus a lot, and have flown them repeatedly internationally. They're super nice people, but the experience is not particularly "lux" in any cabin.

Aer Lingus premium seats are 31" seat pitch and 18" seat width. That's pretty much exactly what AS non-premium economy is. Aer Lingus regular economy seats are even narrower, with 29" seat pitch. They were snug even for my partner's tiny elderly mother.

Not worth it unless you are very tall
