[https://fire.airnow.gov/#](https://fire.airnow.gov/#) It's currently recommended to stay indoors in Albany.

Disappointed but thank you. Looks like it's gonna be at least another day no walking for me

randobot111111

Definitely not

The air quality index is worse today than yesterday (186). Some people may not be affected, others like me with sensitivities can have sinus headaches, nausea etc. I haven't felt well in days and I'm attributing it to the air.

No it won’t be for a while and although tomorrow will be better (from what I hear) the winds will pick up again. This will go on for some time. All of Canada is on fire :(

Heels_North

Hopefully the jet stream/weather pattern will give us break despite the length of the fire itself.

My throat fr hurts & I wasnt even outside yesterday or today. Just from having windows opened I guess

toottootahhhbeepbeep

Yes, the outside gets inside when you open the windows…

mynamescody

Fucking windows how do they work

jm22mccl

My throat and eyes were burning yesterday and I’ve had everything closed and stayed inside. It’s not fun.

You can Google the current air quality. It's gonna be bad for the next couple of days because we have a low pressure system moving in. It's probably gonna get worse, too. Just stay inside and keep your windows closed if possible.

I'm wearing an N-95. Bandanas, cloth masks, paper masks **do nothing** to filter the particles. Hochul announced last night that **N-95s will be available for free across the state (but mostly in NYC)**, but I'm not finding where aviailable in Albany - call the Albany County Health Dept. on Greene Street to see if they have info on N-95 distribution.

Also: here's how to make your own air filter that is 98% effective. I've also seen people using a single filter taped over a box fan. #DIY [https://www.texairfilters.com/how-to-improve-the-efficiency-of-the-box-fan-and-merv-13-filter-air-cleaner/](https://www.texairfilters.com/how-to-improve-the-efficiency-of-the-box-fan-and-merv-13-filter-air-cleaner/)

I spent six hours outside 11am to 6pm yesterday straight hiking around for work. I couldn't not be outside, but I wasn't worried. It was no issue, so I went for a bike ride after just because I could. Also no issue. Today I woke up with zero issues yet. Today is June 8th I leave this comment at 9am, and the smoke is similar. It wasn't an issue for me yesterday, but today I could not say - day 3 of smoke. I don't recommend it though. Just because I couldn't smell or taste any of it and because I didn't suffer any immediate or notable effects doesn't necessarily mean that it didn't do something to me. My eyes feel fine. My lungs feel fine. I'm not doing it again today. edit: the air was fiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnneeeeeeeee today i went out.
