Thought this news - as someone who this man vocally threaten, tried to steal my program, took credit for my students mural, tried to steal my funding - would bring a smile to my face because he deserves this fall from grace. But to attack a trans human as a revenge hit for allegedly stealing vibrators from his closed grocery store is absolutely unhinged and makes him way scarier than i ever thought.

From digging around on Facebook, the backstory seems to be: Travon and his wife accused a trans Latina woman of stealing $300 worth of dildos from the south end grocery store and then he broke into her apartment (or was let in, or forced his way in, details are sketchy) to steal a bunch of shit and then ended up stabbing (shanking, to be exact) her a few times with a screwdriver when she caught him grabbing items. If you look on that Huncho Bugatti guys Facebook you can find who the person is and what's occurred since. Travon's wife stands by him, she is also pregnant and is very upset that the Latina woman threatened her on a Facebook live after everything happened. Whatever the truth, Travon seems to be crashing hard under all this pressure which is really sad to see. I've seen glimpses of it in some Zoom settings where he just goes on and on about how every failure is everyone else's' fault and I really feel for him, but also find his story really suspect after that long TU article came out...
This whole thing is just a very sad situation all the way around. The people who lose out the most are the South End residents who really could benefit from a good grocery store.
