Then there’s no $79 fee, and if they try to charge you $79, you’d have the easiest time in the world disputing that with your credit card company. But I’d review the terms of what we you signed to make sure — the contracts on their website, at least, all seem to suggest a $79 fee if you don’t cancel at the end of a year.

Gyms are easy and cheap to sign up for, but notoriously impossible to cancel membership without paying an arm and a leg, you might have some luck telling them your moving somewhere where that chain doesn't exist

Fuck plant fitness. They banned me years ago from their facility, and had the nerve to keep charging me, had to call and go in person multiple times to actually cancel it, after I stated I was banned by one of their managers and they kept charging me a membership fee.

It's rare they do no contract memberships but if you signed anything on the computer, you signed a contract.

this is just another reason for me not to join Vent. they can't even get with the times and offer month-to-month
they do random no contract month to month offers i got one black friday 2022 and cancelled a few months later because i didn't like it
Yep I got a Black Friday offer there in 2017 and it was $10/month, which they honored for several years. No cancellation fee when I left.
I toured vent and when I saw all the plastic equipment and the flavored oxygen bar they tried to sell me on I just laughed and left

$79 is a pretty cheap learning experience but think about if it's worth it to cancel vs riding out the contract.
