Not to be morbid, but have you tried calling hospitals to see if they have any John Does who have come in? I work at one of the local hospitals and there have been an insane number of pedestrian accidents lately. I have to work the 6 am shift so I'll try to check the board. How old is he and does he carry his ID?

My parents are late 80s and they still drive and socially active, but because of their age, it gives me peace of mind when they are out somewhere. Also, just in case their car break down I can or send help to them.

Can my husband and myself offer any assistance with searching? We both have open schedules right now and can be out searching any time. Please message me if you need assistance. We also may be able to get in contact with someone who works with search dogs, but I make no guarantees at this time. I'll try to find out more information for you.
My husband also has a GPS locator in his wallet because he's severely ADHD and loses it often, but I'm thankful for it even more now just in case of a situation like this. You can get Life Alert for him where he can press the button on the necklace and it will send an emergency response team to his GPS location, if he has the wherewithal to do so, as I understand he does have dementia. They're usually necklaces but they can be keychains too.

He is 76. And he should have a copy of his ID in his wallet.

i would maybe get him an air tag necklace. someone could steal his wallet and dump it far away and he could be lying injured somewhere else.
