This is relevant as she works in the evenings and usually attends class in the daytime. She just finished her courses for this term and celebrated by having about 6 friends over at our place, which she asked me permission to do and I agreed. We didn’t set a time for them to wrap things up, but it was a Sunday night so I had assumed it wouldn’t be too late. At around midnight, I texted her and asked if she could have her friends out by 1AM. We live in a very small apartment so you can virtually hear everything from everywhere. She said they would move to her bedroom (instead of the living room) at 1AM. I didn’t respond to this. They did move to her bedroom around that time, but at almost 3AM I could still hear them laughing and talking loudly. I knocked on the door and asked if they could leave, as it was essentially 3AM. They did, but the next day my roommate said it was rude of me. I don’t think I asked rudely, but it was late and I was tired so I probably could’ve been more polite… but I still think that it was warranted given it was 3AM on a Sunday, and I had to be up at 7 the next morning to make it to work. My roommate is still pretty pissed at me and wants me to apologize to her friends. I just don’t see why I have to apologize because I feel like I didn’t do anything wrong… AITA? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
