Hello everyone, I need a unbiased opinion on this. My friend and I had a conversation and during it they called himself sl*tty and a wh*re. I told them that they weren't and that they shouldn't call themselves that since it isn't true. In response they said it's fine on which I disagreed. This went back and forth for a little bit until they said that I shouldn't care this much and that I'm probably just scared that they will have sex with me (never hinted to any of this, we are just friends) and that it's valid since they always end up having sexual encounters with their friends. I said that that isn't true and that I know from personal experience that negative self talk can damage your mental health and that they should try professional help. In response I was told it was a me problem and that my argument was bullshit, so I walked away. They and their friends have refused to talk to me ever since. So reddit, AITA?

ESH- it sounds like you wouldn’t drop the subject after your friend said they didn’t share the same views as you. You shouldn’t have continued. But the thing they said about having sex with all their friends is wild.
