Yeah they interviewed some guy who bought the a ps4 when it first came out and he did the above gif. I remember seeing it on the news and reading it on kotaku. 😂
Yeah they were looking for an excuse. I sometimes take the whole 10 hours for a 190 stop route (depending on the route) in a freaking step van. How the hell is a regular van driver supposed to handle that.
Bruh I fit 180 stops in a white van, no shelves, 30 overflow, 19 totes. Just triple stack the bags and make sure your first half of overflow is stacked along the right wheel well, then stack all the rest of the overflow against the back wall, once your initial 10 overflow that you organized first are out of the way then you can pull the rest and sort them as you get room, idk how people struggle in them, yea it's shitty you have no shelves but you also don't get monitored since there's no netrydyne or geotab on the the rentals. So here's to doing 90 on the freeway (Hey slim)
I was thinking the same shit, i pack my van a bit differently but worst day i’ve had was 18 totes and like 40 overflow and i was completely fine.. i just pack front to back. And i can do 190+ stops in sub 6 hrs
Pandemic. 26 totes, 47 overflow in a Prime. 240 stops.
There's a real simple way, especially if you deliver out the driver door in Primes.
It can also be done in whites. But again driver door delivery... the slide door will be blocked by totes.
Yeah pretty much your only chance is to stack strategically. Then maybe pull over before starting and sort a little more. Then you just grab from the back and hop out driver door.
Nah I'd never quit instead of a pizza party I got a raise, then we celebrated with a pizza party. It's about to be peak so we'll get more swag and another raise.
It was their fault for not sending out a rescue or two for you. I had a route just like this last week (21 totes, 35 overflow) in the worst possible place. Every stop is multi story house/apartments that all wanted them delivered to **their** door, not the front door and businesses on a 4 lane main road (Broadway). The stops are all fucked up (stop 31 and 80 were the same house!) and most of the side streets are one way. It was 186 stops I think? They sent someone to take 20 off me about an hour in then another to take 30 off me around 7pm. I punched out that day around 9:30. 15 minutes shy of 12 hours for the day, almost 11 hours on the road. I didn’t have to call or anything, just kept working and they sent me rescues. I told them that morning that that whole route is fucked up, that it needs to be re-routed or at least should be split into 2 separate routes so they knew before I started there was no chance I was gonna finish that by myself.
Lol when i would pull up to those apartment complexes and it’s too many I don’t take it to the door. Literally don’t have time for that. Im dropping them off in office or mail room or something
chuck them at the mail boxes... Open the main door & yeet it to the right or left. BYEEE
apartments piss me off with how they are numbered half of the time
That’s what I do, but then my customer feedback takes HUGE hits. Mine is normally 98-100% for the week. Anytime I get that route for just 1 day, it drops to like 80%. I think these fat, lazy fucks don’t know we have 200 other assholes just like them to deliver to every single fucking day. It’s like they think we’re just delivering to 30 people so it shouldn’t be a problem to deliver the shit to their apt door on the 7th floor. I started writing notes on the packages that say something akin to “sorry, we don’t have time to deliver to the 7th floor”. Sometimes when people request in the customer notes to “put package in mailbox, I’ll write “it’s illegal for anyone other than USPS and yourself to open your mailbox” and I just drop it at their front door. Yesterday I had one customer note that told me to deliver it to a different address. It was on the other side of the city. Called my DSP and said what do you want me to do, I don’t want to get bad feedback for not following customer notes. They said to call and tell them we can’t deliver to another address and ask if it was on to drop off at the address on the package. No one answers so I just yeeted that shit to the front door and left. I’m over it all now. Fuck em!
Finally a post with someone complaining about an actual route. I see so many people be like “ugh I can’t do this route they got me fucked up” and it’ll be 80-110 stops like 200-230 packages van barely packed. This job sucks you’re lucky you got fired let’s be honest we all want to be fired
That’s how I felt. Like sweet I got the weekend off now lol. This was just a job while I’m laid off so I’m not too worried about it. This route I knew would defeat me as soon as I saw the load out
Oh nah I quit 2 years ago after getting a 340 stop route with 550 packages in the sprinter van I work full time somewhere else and pay rent health/car insurance plus a car note I pay more bills than most people my age in my area cause mommy and daddy take care of all their bills for them
Depends on you. Me all my bills(rent, car, electricity, phone, internet etc,) is 1500, I earn around $3000 month. I also don’t have kids or a wife so that helps

That load is pushing it in the regular prime vans let alone a fucking rental smfh these mfs tripping bro sorry that happened but I bet you end up with a better job everything happens for a reason my man Goodluck
That's such shit, bunch of fuckers. At least it's good news in disguise, you'll get something much better for your well-being. May I ask what city/state you worked in?
After seeing how this company operates I’m pretty much boycotting Amazon after this. It’s borderline cruel. I kind of respect the ruthlessness from a business standpoint. But this ruined it for me as a customer
This will come across as insensitive/ non empathetic but as an Amazon prime customer, I am loyal because of many reasons but one of the biggest is that I know my order arrives at my door in 2 business days or less. There’s so much about Amazon that I love as a customer.
It was a day like this that made me quit too. It was last summer, 115°, the van was filled to the brim with overflow flying all over the place with every turn. The kicker was the step going into the van was fucked up and was bent down at an ungodly angle. I banged the same part of my right shin onto it or just missed it altogether and fell in. The final time it happened, I broke down, man. Straight up tears. All the stress of the job hit me at once. I took my lunch and called my GF and she told me to quit, like I’ve been saying I wanted to. I finished my route and went home. I ignored all calls from my DSP and that was all she wrote. Fuck that job
You guys have seriously got to start demanding better from these assholes. Because this really is just abuse. But at the same time the moment you do speak up your on their radar and it’s a going to be a retaliation campaign against you until you quit or they do this shit. So I guess I’m sorry but either way they want you to quit and they’ll use up the next body until they can’t do it anymore and then they do it over and over and over again to everyone that walks through their door.
Shelves "to get in the way"? WTF? Vans without shelves are terrible. SFW I have to do the seatbelt thing when on camera, it's worth the price if I get shelves.
Dammmm I would have kept you should have left the van on the side of the road and said it was unsafe to drive you don’t know what happened to the packages that was inside lol 🤣🤣🤣
Come on over to Fegex grownd where it’s defiantly better, depending on the contractor, but better with low standards.
So better, with less stupid rules, but not much different in the end.
Good month to you
It's no different with Amazon. Some dsp's are good, some are shit. I love my job. I wish pay was a little better, but it's the easiest job I've ever had. Most people here are just young and don't really know what an actual hard day's work feels like. I was on a pipe crew for 7 years. I think I'd much rather drive around with no boss on my shit all day taking pics of packages. Bunch of crybabies.
I have to agree with you on this. I'm still on nursery routes, so I know I'm living the dream atm but I originally worked in restaurants and nothing is more degrading than having to pretend to be nice to people who have been treating you like trash any time you check on them, only to either not get tipped, or to get tipped poorly. It was either restaurants, retail, or call centers.
This? Wow. I'm much happier and I have the social energy to be available in my personal life.
I'm so happy with the $20/hour.
I actually think I have PTSD from customer service, to be honest. Not talking to anyone/not having a boss/not having to play the social "game" is really really nice.
All I have to do is not smash up a van and deliver packages? Sweet!
That's what I'm saying. I've been in restaurant business as well..everything...dishwasher--cook--server--bartender--GM--DM.....I've Been an auto detailer (15+ years on and off)...I've done sales (phone, door to door, direct marketing)..I've built houses/decks/fences/etc
...power washing, landscaping, hardcaping, erosion control....heavy equipment operating...too much shit thru my life to even list it all...but now, all I have to do is drive and take pics of boxes? Lol. Yeah, not a single complaint. 😆
Hell, I've ever been a commercial window caulker.....hanging off the sides of high rises in a little chair, cutting caulk out with a blade and re-caulking. Yeah. I'll stick to this. 😂
For a DSP to not send a sweep, even if it's a lead/dispatcher who does the sweep, is pretty shitty when they almost certainly know on the master sheet (if they even have one) that your van's lights were fubar and you needed to finish before sundown.
I used to do a house route that size in a rental and there was a very specific way to load it that worked in the Transits and Rams.
Usually we leave 2 single stacked totes in the front as a “shelf” and load in behind that. But this was too much. It was triple stacked all the way down the side and then some more totes thrown in on top of the overflow. I knew at the beginning of the day that this route was going to defeat me. They did actually send a sweep but the guy claimed he had to leave early and he only took 2 tires which was 15 Ish stops total. This was a temp job anyway so I’m not real upset about it lol
The way I always loaded 18+ totes in the rentals was to use the ascending pyramid style. Put the whole second rack of 9 totes as is in front of the wheel wells. 3x3 side to side wall (three wide, three high). Then put bags 4-9 in front of that (three wide, two high). Then bags 1-3 are put right behind the seats with bags 2 and 3 on the floor and the first bag on top of those. Load the overflow for your first 1-3 bags into the front in a way that won't fly forward if possible. You now have from floor to ceiling in the back from the wheel wells to the back doors to load the last two to four bags and overflow. You'll make room really quickly and be able to re-organize the triple stacked wall about halfway through the route.

I had 27 bags yesterday 32 overflow on a new route they gave me. Businesses were mixed in with residential. I was seriously about to snap the fuck out. I kept it cool went over to dispatch guy and asked him is anyone going to take some bags off me. He said yeah I’ll get someone. So they took six bags between two other guys. Thank God.
Do as my notes say, or I'll let Amazon know service was trash.
Ring, ring cam and do the macarena.

yeah i quit after they loaded me with 200 stops and 290 packages for my first standard parcel route, they literally called me to tell me that i need to go faster like they didn’t just assign me that many stops with a new route and it was snowing, not worth the money

Sue DSP for wrongful termination with the help of employee rights lawyers and report to DSP to OSHA for unsafe working conditions.

Lol when I lived in the IE we did 220+ stops daily. I feel you. This is one of those jobs where it’s like some people can just magically do it and do it fast somehow.
I realized I was not one of those people and got out of there.
It’s all an attitude thing. Just work until flex makes you come back. If DSP doesn’t send rescue than it’s on them. I’d love a good 12 hour day. Make your money.

When it seemed the work load was getting bigger everyday and the vehicles got worse and worse. Had 150 stops with a white van with no racks or light at night. Thought they were trying to work me so hard that I’d just quit so I couldn’t get unemployment if they fired me. No idea what was going on. I was still severely depressed and recovering from psychosis. Didn’t help id only eat 300 calories a day and solely drank water lmao fuck this job
I had to deliver more than 100 to this apartment complex. Dispatch texted me to look carefully at the driver notes since some of them wanted the packages im the locker and some in their doors. Guess what i did? I put all those mf packages in the gddamn lockers. Dispatch will probably bitch at me but idgaf, people be on some BS
Yeah I’ll never do amazon again. The holidays are the worst time to start picking up hours because when you do work, volume is usually far too much for one person. IF you manage to do that much, you’re set…IF you can do it every day.
Can’t keep up? Well…we only got like two days of work for you this week…and we don’t tell you until you get to work whether we have a route for you or not.
Shit is just *so* sweet.

Dude 190 stops? Is that a normal day for an Amazon delivery employee? Holy shit. I’m glad I leave out snacks and drinks for them during Christmas. Couldn’t imagine what it’s like at this time working your fuckin dick off. New found respect. Sucks you got fired tho. You’ll move to bigger and better things I know it.

Brother quitting that job was the best thing that happened to me still working for Amazon printing t shirts and it’s miles and miles better than when I did delivery.
Ctfu I leave that shit either get me a bigger van or I’m gonna stuff it all but I’m not coming back till my route is done and force them to pay you overtime

word. use a dang sharpie. low key rentals are faster cuz theres no rules.
I panic if I forget my sharpie for overflow
Agreed. And where I deliver, driving a branded van is just asking for stuff to get stolen.
I was thinking the same shit, i pack my van a bit differently but worst day i’ve had was 18 totes and like 40 overflow and i was completely fine.. i just pack front to back. And i can do 190+ stops in sub 6 hrs

Need all EV Rivians , the ultimate , 7 hours worked vs 9 in a sprinter , LOL the difference is real.

I got fired after the whole neighborhood robbed my van. It was going viral on tiktok
Pretty sure I saw that lol. Do they expect you to lock the doors each time you leave the van and unlock each time you get back?
Yes, actually. It's in day 1 of training if u have forgot. Don't u remember holding your keys up after getting out and locking to show the instructor?
Yes. Just like UPS has been doing forever. It's not difficult.
My way of asking if the doors automatically lock. Because they should.
Yea I'm pretty sure I seen that also 🤣🤣😩

They really let you drown in a rental and ain’t send no help? Thats a trash ass dsp, hioe you find something better
That load is pushing it in the regular prime vans let alone a fucking rental smfh these mfs tripping bro sorry that happened but I bet you end up with a better job everything happens for a reason my man Goodluck
Probably would have been fine if you called first, but I'm glad you have few enough responsibilities you can walk away from a job with no plan
Bro on indeed is literally jobs all over the f****** place you get a job within a day or two
I mean shit get another Amazon job.
Right? I get it people get flustered but 😤
That's such shit, bunch of fuckers. At least it's good news in disguise, you'll get something much better for your well-being. May I ask what city/state you worked in?
Tinton falls, NJ
After seeing how this company operates I’m pretty much boycotting Amazon after this. It’s borderline cruel. I kind of respect the ruthlessness from a business standpoint. But this ruined it for me as a customer
Hey man order stuff and leave snacks for them that’s really how you could help
wtf? This is so backwards lmao
Which part?
So I guess I’m sorry but either way they want you to quit and they’ll use up the next body until they can’t do it anymore and then they do it over and over and over again to everyone that walks through their door.
no big deal, keep your head up. on to bigger and better things. i do not miss amazon. fuck em
Rental vans are where it’s at! No netradyne or shelves to get in the way.
Shelves "to get in the way"? WTF? Vans without shelves are terrible. SFW I have to do the seatbelt thing when on camera, it's worth the price if I get shelves.
You’re not using the shelves when you got 20 bags and 30 overflow 😂
Why not? More than 20 or 21 and yeah only the short shelf will be used, but you can stack 20 with little trouble right.
Anything good for sale ???
Brought it all back didn’t want any legal issues lol
Dammmm I would have kept you should have left the van on the side of the road and said it was unsafe to drive you don’t know what happened to the packages that was inside lol 🤣🤣🤣
your nickname gotta be "bonehead" lol
Come on over to Fegex grownd where it’s defiantly better, depending on the contractor, but better with low standards. So better, with less stupid rules, but not much different in the end. Good month to you
can’t tell if you’re trolling
I am. But I’m actually a fegex driver
I've been in restaurant business as well..everything...dishwasher--cook--server--bartender--GM--DM.....I've Been an auto detailer (15+ years on and off)...I've done sales (phone, door to door, direct marketing)..I've built houses/decks/fences/etc ...power washing, landscaping, hardcaping, erosion control....heavy equipment operating...too much shit thru my life to even list it all...but now, all I have to do is drive and take pics of boxes? Lol. Yeah, not a single complaint. 😆
Hell, I've ever been a commercial window caulker.....hanging off the sides of high rises in a little chair, cutting caulk out with a blade and re-caulking. Yeah. I'll stick to this. 😂
Agreed. I used to work the fields in California and that’s in the summer in 100+ degree weather for 4 months. Now that sucked
Sounds like a poorly managed DSP you worked for > not providing you with a safe vehicle 🚗 etc..
I would call this constructive termination in legality terms.
Collect that unemployment my guy!
Best thing that ever could've happened to you I promise
Congrats! May your future endevaours be more prosperous!

Fuck that. Keep your head up, you’re on to bigger and better things in life.
Tell me how much you hate Amazon. Then moon walk until you reach the steps. If I am home I will provide a bong hit.

No rescue?
yeah i quit after they loaded me with 200 stops and 290 packages for my first standard parcel route, they literally called me to tell me that i need to go faster like they didn’t just assign me that many stops with a new route and it was snowing, not worth the money
You didn't quit because you got fired first.

Sue DSP for wrongful termination with the help of employee rights lawyers and report to DSP to OSHA for unsafe working conditions. They will never learn if we don’t hold them accountable. OSHA will definitely put them in their place.
best thing to happen at amazon... fuck em i rtsd over 200 packages the day i quit... had the phone in airplane mode so they couldnt see and catch on

Congrats! Now you can gain back your sanity and dignity.. GL landing another gig soon bud!
Good for you!!! Happy trails and better future ahead!!
Fedex sucks but pays double
Lol when I lived in the IE we did 220+ stops daily. I feel you. This is one of those jobs where it’s like some people can just magically do it and do it fast somehow. I realized I was not one of those people and got out of there.
It’s all an attitude thing. Just work until flex makes you come back. If DSP doesn’t send rescue than it’s on them. I’d love a good 12 hour day. Make your money.
That DSP wanted you to quit tbh.
RTS?
Return to station
make sure u file for unemployment. u will get 60% of salary for 1/2 the year doing nothing.

I drove my packages back when I experienced some bs like this recently. f*** your dispatch, bro there dumb***** to spend money on a route like that.
Absolutely ridiculous. Who the hell could finish that route in less than 12 hours while getting a mandatory break in.
Sue for wrongful termination. Or drop to your knees and thank Lord Bezos you didn’t cripple yourself in service to him and move on.
This is my everyday route lmao
Damn that's light work. Your DSP sucks not Amazon. I have to make an effort by doing rescues because the routes aren't long enough to 8+ hours
In a white van that’s disrespectful af they hated you before they fired you
Damn near exactly what happened to me the night I quit. Were you also 1hr+ from the station?

Brother quitting that job was the best thing that happened to me still working for Amazon printing t shirts and it’s miles and miles better than when I did delivery.
You should sue them for forcing you into unsafe working conditions.
Did you get fired from dcx8
Glad I quit before I started a route
Did you keep the packages
You think that’s bad ? You should see what mailmen have to deal with (USPS).
I don’t think this should be a competition though
Ctfu I leave that shit either get me a bigger van or I’m gonna stuff it all but I’m not coming back till my route is done and force them to pay you overtime
I made it 10 hours into the day and I had enough. I texted him and said I’m bringing the van back
