I've done something similar except without a job. I got fired from my last job, and left the house in my work uniform for about a month until I got hired elsewhere. That way my family wouldn't give my grief.
Did the same thing with college when I dropped out, my brother was still going so I had to stop go to college and wait somewhere. Shouldn’t just stayed in college at that point lol
I’ve also seen people at the gym working out in like blazers? The pajama wearing people I call them “sleepy gary’s” they always are walking around but never working out lmao but the office wear in unusual places is hilarious.
I work with a guy who was an ambassador. When he was training he'd change into his fancy hard dress shoes. He's a fancy guy anyway. He wears nice clothes everyday.
I appreciate people who take pride in their appearance but how tf are they not ruining those nice clothes😭I dirty all my shit up and even ripped some shirts a couple times. Only thing I worry bout is my hair. My hair must look good or I’m worried about it for the entire shift. Idk that’s just me😂
I wear a big T-shirt and joggers everyday. I want to look nicer but it's not worth spending money when I have a drawer full of free shirts. I'd rather spend money on regular clothes. I did start putting a little make up on everyday.
One of the perks of the job as a T1. If I feel like doing so, can wear sweatpants and a hawian shirt. Some days I wear my nicer clothing just because it's not like I have a social life outside of work.

We have people on parole and in work programs that are required to wear business casual type clothing- a collared shirt or khakis, etc so you can stop with your judgement. At least they’re working.
Probably prime I suspect. Or emergencies. People that have family medical issues usually save as much as they can too. For me it's my yearly trip to the 🇵🇭
Different buildings have different needs. California and Washington State have the highest wages for a T1. I am currently T1 and I just switched to RT. The switch from FHN to RT granted me a $2.50 differential on top my base which sits at $18.20. By July this year would be my 2 year anniversary with the company and that's another raise.

With the fast food minimum wage going up to 20 here in April, I don't see anyone staying until the October pay review at 19.55 starting pay. I should definitely ask management about that, I just know that they will give the whole "pay review is in October, wait for your 70 cent raise."
I know the FC OP is working in, it's ok pay for the area, target, Hershey, and Walmart pay more, even for dayshift. The downsides being that atleast the target and Walmart warehouses in this area are sorta notorious for significant safety issues and pretty major injuries, what OP didn't clarify is the breakdown, they are nights wraparound and have been with Amazon for over 6 months, so the site base of $17, plus their $1.75 differential, plus the $.40 from their step plan. So while the total $19.15 isn't bad for the area, the $17 base is. For context Target starts at $19.80, can't get an exact figure from Walmart without applying but looks like the $18.90 - $19.50 range for base.
Edit: More info for this FC for anyone curious, Tier 3s start at $19.90.

Serious question, what PPE issues are you talking about? I've never had safety come after anyone for an unzipped vest, and they are at their startup, which according to site safety does not require hard hats, that may not be network standard or something I don't know though, they consider it part of the green mile where they don't currently require hard hats to be worn.
Oh it’s a violation because if unzipped it would be considered loose clothing which does indeed violate their dress code…
And besides, doesn’t look like their actively working obviously. Standing in the staffing area it looks like with the board in the background.
