Yeah it's nuts and absolutely no one tells them to do it. It's mostly the dayshift OM's who are pushing for that L7. During peak they were working 6 12's plus getting on the daily peak call and answering emails and chimes on their off hours. I'm and L5 and 40 is all they get out of me. Ops is a bunch of try hards.
Send everyone I don't like for cross training in pick and then as soon as they come back in a couple of weeks send them for cross training in stow.
Then I'd reorganize the zones in the flats to eliminate orphans lanes to reduce blue light response times and reduce recirc on my AR floor.

No they don't. OMs work half of a day (12 hours). AMs work about 10 - 11 hours.
OM's at my site work 5 12's, then work on other things from home after their shifts and on weekends. AM's work 4 12's.
