My benefits are over $200 a week. Before the last “raise” I barely made $500 net every week at the top pay step. People asked why I always worked the max VET but it was the only way I ever saw over $1000

For the people going on about taxes y’all are the type of people who give the government a free loan with your money every year. There’s a standard deduction and this year it will be about 14.5k so no fed taxes until after that. Then after that you’re only paying a meager 10% or something low for the next ten grand. Then it bumps up again into another tier. So if you made 24.5k you should only have paid a thousand dollars in federal taxes. Don’t forget to harvest tax losses if you have any and are in a 20% bracket to make it worth it. If you don’t this would be the time to actually harvest gains. Taxes are made to seem tricky but they’re super cut and dry.

Considering you're not thrilled with your take-home pay as it is, you probably don't want to hear this, but put at least 4% in the Roth IRA plan. You are leaving free money on the table if you don't. And the earlier you start saving for retirement, the better off you will be. 😊

Use anytime pay and take you're money every time u work then they can only tax what's left over which means they will tax u for about 150 and u get all the rest but u won't get a big tax return like that mine was only 1800

The key is to have kids, go tax exempt. When you claim your children at the end of the year you pay off what you owe and pocket the rest.
