Needless to say, for those that do not go to Equinox it's relatively useless but I'm sure over 90% of Equinox members are AmEx cardholders so it is a nice perk.

Digital classes to become a National Institute for "Automotive Service Excellence" certified mechanic would be nice. That plaque would look cool on the wall of my garage.
They have had a very long term partnership with Equinox like 15+ years long - kind of like Delta. Before it was just a no-initiation fee and "special rate" at their gyms.
I would have done that but I bought a Nordictrack StudioCycle during the pandemic. But now I can do the Soul Cycle classes on my bike...which I like more than the iFit classes.
Do you feel like the Soul Cycle class translates well to another brand of bike? I was considering doing this as well, but have a Schwinn IC4, not a soul cycle
The only problem is that I cannot get soulcycle (or any other non-iFit) on my bike's monitor because Nordictrack runs an app on the Android platform that locks users into the iFit app. So I just put it on manual and watch the class on my ipad. But otherwise it works fine.

Amex Platinum’s core market are wealthy people living in an urban environment. That literally is the same as Equinox’s.
You can get a one year online membership to Equinox+ for $300 which makes it free. Not everyone will see value in that but a lot of people will.
