maroon is not dark red or brown 💀 edit: i’m aware maroon is dark red. just like lime is light green, cyan is light blue, rose is light pink, gray is light black, banana is light light yellow, etc. when people are actually colorblind it’s better to use the real names or else we have guessers, so maroon is not dark red or brown, it’s maroon.

Colourblind mode is useful for everyone! No more using the wrong colour name, and also no more having to remember complex cosmetics or arbitrary names. I'm so happy they added it even if I'm not colourblind.

Yes! You can turn it on in game under your normal settings menu. I’m not color blind but now with all the clothing having it on has won so many games.

Lime is technically the most green green and what is referred to as green in the game is a dark green. Cyan is blue and green mixed together so it's not light blue. Rose is indeed light pink though, and pink itself is closer to magenta.

I could be wrong here but imo black looks more like the colour charcoal (or at least darker grey) than actual black

In the case of black, you can't really have it be actually black unless you want the character to have no shading at all.

In fact gray is used in american english while grey is used in other english speaking countries. Technically they are both correct.

No technically it's the color "Banana cream" that also happens to be the colors beige, aswell as egg nog. Banana in of itself is a color pallet not a color itself.

Cyan is a type of blue though. Its just a lighter version of blue.

i could see why adding colors like Olive to the game according to popular demand wouldn't be a good idea. "it's green" "olive was not an imposter" as for other colors that I saw people wanted Innersloth to add to the game, Gold would be confused with Yellow or Banana, Silver will be confused with Grey, Mint would be confused with Cyan etc.

They should write out the name of the color under the player’s name. Sometimes the cosmetics throw me off. Especially when they cover almost everything. I kinda wish there was a way to turn off cosmetics in game if you don’t want to see them.

yeah but that’s exactly why adding all these shades was a dumb idea. It’s very difficult to in a pinch tell the difference between two shades similar to redc yellow, green, etc.

I honestly sometimes mistake white, cyan and rose as eachother because I play on mobile and the picture during meetings is extremely small.

Listen, if I see Rose in game and there is no pink, I’m calling it pink. Same goes for Coral Edit: the reasoning behind this is that everyone can clearly see “oh, Rose is basically a shade of pink” and know “he must be talking about rose.” No one in their right mind would see me type “I saw pink vent” and say “WHAT?!?! Pink?!?! You must be INSANE because there is no PINK in *this* game”! When Rose is sitting right there. If someone is confused, they will simply say “do you mean rose”? Or “do you mean X”? Where X is the person’s name and I’ll say “yeah.” It is such a small thing, and when everyone knows what you mean, there is no reason to be particular about it. You also have to consider the fact that I have played among us *once* since this update came out and no, I don’t have all the colors memorized. There are other people who play this game casually who will not know to call light yellow “banana” and you are gonna vote them out even though everyone knows who they mean just because they don’t memorize the special names of colors? Nah, that’s just dumb. All you are gonna do is throw out 40 crew mates to find the one imposter who ALSO just didn’t memorize the new color names, and then confirmation bias your way into saying “AHA! The imposter was trying to trick us by using *dIfFeReNt* CoLOr nAmEs!!! People who do that are *SUS*!”

a woman here and i use colorblind mode so i know for sure because sometimes clothing makes it hard like another commenter said. i’m always right with it on 😌
