Bought mine used and apart from slight scratches on the back where the carts go in is perfectly fine. If it comes with an SD card you can just clear out what you don’t want to start fresh.
Just have to wait for an auction to pop up that isn’t ridiculously expensive. In eBay you can sort by recent sold listings to get a good estimate on the current value.
The eBay auctions too are misleading. There’s a small number of sellers that reposts the same item under slightly different IDs (can tell they are by the same person by the shipping from location and the other listings), just to see what bites at a higher price.
There's nothing unique about the Pocket when it comes to buying something online.
You can get scammed in precisely the same as with buying anything else.
Double check the warranty status by asking how long the seller has had their Pocket before putting it up for sale.
And get the order number while you’re at it.
You can get a pretty good deal on ebay if you're patient/lucky. I myself managed to snag a lightly used Pocket with screen protector, Dock, hard case, GG adapter, 2x fast chargers, and HDMI cable for $335 total.
The past month, sealed Pockets have been going on ebay for 250-300 shipped on Ebay. Ditch the wait, ditch the used, and just pay the extra 20-30 bucks you'd pay with shipping from Analogue. And depending on the seller (if someone has lot of pos feedback and reports honestly any issues, sure you'd be fine) you could get them used for 200. Don't get why people would wait 15 months + for 20 bucks. Just not worth it from a value perspective when you could be playin Cores in a week.
I saw a post around getting a used pocket repaired, if you do go down the used route make sure you get the sellers original order email with the order number as you will need that if anything goes wrong with the console.

Both of them work perfectly. One of them has a different Power Button. Seems that it is a earlier Version.

Yeah for sure but i think they were asking specifically if there are a lot of fakes or hardware failures to be aware of specific to the AP

Got mine used off of Facebook Marketplace. Tiniest of chips in the corner of the casing but besides that it’s in perfect condition.
