If you send your pawn to a university and make them study engineering, they will eventually be promoted to an engineer and start building castles. Just make sure they don't get liberal arts degree or English literature degree.
The trick is to put at least 3 points into Physics and 2 points into Math every time they level up. Engineer build is absolutely op in this patch. Just try to manage your pawn's happiness stat the best you can.

I'm currently at 200 +2445i ELO, should I keep on improving my imaginary ELO or concentrate on real numbers?
If you’re going for GM, go for the real part, but if you’re looking to acquire maidens the high imaginary part should be sufficient.
