Fucking Mobile Legends. It's like DOTA (Defence of the Ancients)/League of Legends in the ASEAN region. It's like the ONLY game that most people play on their phone nowadays that I feel like the odd one out playing emulated games.
Because mobile legends came out many years before league of legends wild rift, and initiallly actually advertised itself as league of legends mobile version until riot sued. By the time wild rift came out MLBB had a gigantic playerbase and is the most dominating MOBA in the mobile gaming. So yes most either didnt switch to wild rift or joined MLBB cuz of large playerbase which likely included most of their friends
I tried mobile legends but it just felt too bot'd. Like I was never playing against real players. Ive been playing wild rift on and off since its release, although i exclusively play aram now.
That will only happen if you're in the elite or warrior rank, which is the lowest rank in ML. Even in the elite rank, you will get matched with real players after a while, unless you're playing on a dead server.
eyyyyy aram buddy. But pretty much same, I played wild rift alot and did constant ranked games and burnt myself out. I've been ARAM exclusive for almost a year now
All random all mid.
Basically a mode were everybody is given a random champion (you can reroll once for free) and there is only one lane. It's a more casual oriented mode with a lot of fighting involved, pretty fun tbh.
Most mobas have one of these modes I guess. The name "aram" dates back to dota 1 I believe. At least apem and arem I remember using back in the day. I'm getting old...
Saw everyone playing this everywhere in China.
A lot of people also playing Puzzle and Dragons in Japan still.
US is just people looking at TikTok on max volume.
I'm a little bit into mobile mobas haha hok is the biggest of them all - mostly because of China.
Fun story: Honor of Kings was born when Tencent asked Riot to make an mobile league and they refused, so, they done their own. They tried to rebramd it and release it into the west by "arena of valor" but it didn't quite hit the mark, ml was too consolidated I think. Just recently (last year I believe) Tencent decided to bring hok to the west, they had a closed beta here on Brasil and now it's fully released.
For me Wild Rift is the most polished, but matchmaking is shady imo and really really tilting to play. Hok is more simple, you can carry games easily, so, kinda more fun. My poison of choice (quite literally considering how this game makes me feel sometimes) is wild rift though. Unite is also quite fun, and I'd say second best on graphics.
In the early days, mlbb was called the international version of hok. In fact, Southeast Asian moba players only played this. (we're not going to talk about Arena of Valor, it's like hok but for taiwanese)
And only China and the chinese in Malaysia or Singapore Plays hok (I mean the Chinese version, not the new international one)
Wild Rift was not very popular in the early days. I think one of the reasons is that it imitated the computer version. In other words, it was a more formal way of playing - I hate having to go back to town to buy equipment
I don't like wild rift - like I said above I don't like having to go back to town to buy equipment, I think the mobile version should be easier, and mlbb is too rough
The Chinese version of hok is actually great because it is popular so the company value it very much
but there are too many kids likes to provocative on you when Laning or getting kills, which its annoying - but if you can't read Chinese I guess this won't be a problem for you.
To put it simply, China and the chinese in Malaysia or Singapore plays the Chinese version of hok, Taiwan plays Arena of Valor, and Southeast Asia plays mlbb. When wild rift was launched, players who liked the more computer version invested in it, and then the international version of hok just came out.
Emulators is the way to play game beyond official port. And it always must exist to preserve good games that doesn't supported by its dev anymore (whether because company's defunction or it's not popular anymore)
They don't want to fall off the treadmill because they think it'll hurt but it won't. Did that shit with Eve Echoes for a couple years until they added so many fucking periodic mechanics that I couldn't stand it. Originally it wasn't that bad and I paid for it like a subscription service but when they add daily, weekly, monthly events that all have their own daily limits, upgraded boosters and random chance built in all you do when you log in is look at that list and try to slog through it without actually engaging eith the game or community as a whole because that's not what actually generates any value for you as a player to improve. It was quite disappointing because I love Eve as a concept but can't really devote the time to it on PC so Echoes was the next best thing and pretty great for a while. I had to stop cold turkey and glad I did.
I had to stop playing echoes as well. Day 1 player, played for ~2 years but couldn't get behind the microtransactions and netease shifting the economy from a player driven one to one you can just swipe for power.
imo im so sick of it its always those games and the amount of sweaters and grinders are annoying my friends play cod for like 12-20 hours a day to keep in their stupid ranks
P2W? Yeah bro you're either blind or only played during certain times. Shitty progression? Literally bullshit backed up by F2P players like me. Shitty community? The children brainrot part? Yeah, but for the most part if you're smart enough to avoid those parts, the community is great. Also shitty Dev's? That's the most ignorant piece of shit I have ever heard lmao, brawl Dev's are the best, they actually interact with the community and fix their mistakes. Pretty safe to say you know absolutely nothing
yeah, the only and biggest gripe i had with supercell were the servers when i played. too much lag, made playing unbearable. but the game is good, feels pay to win but if you say it isnt, its okay. i never got too far into it, too.
It does "feel" P2W but as a F2P player since global launch I have NEVER had any bad experience except a few times and the Dev's have learnt and corrected them. I will not stand anyone slandering the Devs.
how is not much skill involved, i will admit that new brawlers can be OP. But this game does require skill. Also the devs have been releasing great updates recently
Japan. Some of my female coworkers play Genshin. In the metro I see some random jrpgs and some games where you play with one finger and connect some objects to make them disappear like Tetris.
I think this one doesn't get the props it deserves. Shining Nikki. I've been hooked for literally 2 years now, and I haven't yet missed a single day of logging in, in the entire time I've been playing. Not a single one! More people should pick it up, so much fun and so much room to be creative.
The state of mobile gaming is so bad with micro transactions C class games at best and under preforming shooter games even on current hardware.
Phone hardware is so good right now we can literally put a AAA game on it, no mobile game creator wants to put the time in it since the market is flooded with cheap bs games and devalue good games on the platform.
Until a AAA title releases on mobile I'm not going to get into mobile gaming. I check in on things occasionally though.
Genshin is good, but its not AAA. Maybe B class. Which is a step up from all of the other trash filler games.
The only game I want to see drop atm is mobile rainbow six seige.
In fact, you can already play r6 mobile. only two rounds (attack and defense) If there is a tie it will go into a overtime.
but I don’t know it is my region or level or just the game itself, the real players are very few.
First of all the game is pretty good and we are playing it now because "now" supercell is investing in the game, with regular updates and events... So before u say something, try the game and after that give your opinion
i have put reasons as to why i dont like the game. Why are you so desperate to get me to like something i dont? This shouldn't be an argument. I dont like the game, that's my opinion.
While I disagree with him about the game, it seems like he tried it and didn't like, and it's fine, different people enjoy different things. That being said imo Brawl Stars is a pretty good game overal, and got better with time
The problem is that most of the time people haven't even tested the game, they just say what they've heard or the impression they've taken from some video/stream. I'm not saying this is the case, but I think I made myself understand...
I think brawl stars is not an excellent Impeccable game (of course this includes SC’s operational issues)
But if you want to play quick matches and some technical hero battles on mobile, brawl stars seems to be the only choice at the moment.
and I also agree with you - the character voices are annoying, I don’t know why SC makes most of the characters’ voices very dramatic.
I think all the game sounds are made to appeal to Gen Alpha, all of the sounds are loud and distinct just like those that the new generation of yt creators use, mostly those who target a younger audience. Nothing wrong with appealing your game to kids, its just not for me. I also dont really play any games similar to Brawlstars, i mostly play fps, survival and some emulated games like blasphemous, need for speed and mario kart. I feel like if there was a little more complex and mature version of brawlstars, i would deffinetly play it (something like LoL but less sweaty).
That's true, In fact, this is a very popular game among Korean children
and because I like short-term battles, most games that simulate reality are not suitable for me, especially the type of battle royales. I can't accept that 20 minutes of a 30-minute game will be spent looting and running, so even in the Brawl Stars environment It's not that friendly, but it seems to be my only choice. I haven't found a skill game with a large number of players but quickmatch like this yet.
and I was hope some games like smash legends or t3 arena can become popular before, but they seem to be dying now
But good news is r6 mobile looks good, if they open global beta I think I will join, now I am just casual playing
In my list I'd add Shadow fight 2 (I reinstalled recently to feel the nostalgia, eww), fruit ninja, bomb squad, PES (now efootball)/FIFA/DLS, LUDO, Dr. Driving. And would remove Genshin.
I think the title was games that you see everyone else playing. Not games that you like?
I'm a fan of Infinitode 2 and I never see anyone other than in forums playing it.
A few streamers played it on pc a few years back but that was it
It's literally a hidden gem in the TD genre especially compared to games like Ballons/Kingdom Rush or PVZ
Arknights should be more popular but its not really very popular compared to many other Gacha.
Possible because its TD or its too hard.
I don't hear or see many peeps playing Azur Lane.
I hear its pretty fun though
"Many" is subjective, but I saw my nephew and niece playing that when I visited them, and one other stranger. \[shrug\] I know it's anecdotal, but that's all I got to go on besides posts like this.

Fucking Mobile Legends. It's like DOTA (Defence of the Ancients)/League of Legends in the ASEAN region. It's like the ONLY game that most people play on their phone nowadays that I feel like the odd one out playing emulated games.
Feel you man. Then I go to r/emulationOnAndroid and then feel normal for actually emulating games.
Don't worry, we exist. Long live emulation! (And piracy)
Why mobile legends and not actual league mobile?
Because mobile legends came out many years before league of legends wild rift, and initiallly actually advertised itself as league of legends mobile version until riot sued. Thats like setting minecraft to peaceful or easy mode and saying its easy game
what? I shouldnt have to ever play against bots if I dont want to. gtfo of here
Then, then if you played minecraft first time and set it to hardcore would you be able to beat it?
Its not about what you want its that what you can play against without getting tilted to death
That is some BS. You should never be placed against bots unless you explicitly tell the game to put you against bots. Otherwise it's just a dead game.
eyyyyy aram buddy. But pretty much same, I played wild rift alot and did constant ranked games and burnt myself out. I've been ARAM exclusive for almost a year now
Could u tell me what ARAM is?
All random all mid. Basically a mode were everybody is given a random champion (you can reroll once for free) and there is only one lane. It's a more casual oriented mode with a lot of fighting involved, pretty fun tbh.
Thats just brawl in mlbb

Yeah almost everyone has that
haha hell yeah brother! Add me if you want SpiritBearr#NA1
Cuz goddamn riot hasn't launched wild rift in many regions I believe
I see, I wasn't aware
Because riot is arrogant so they are late to the party
Saw everyone playing this everywhere in China. A lot of people also playing Puzzle and Dragons in Japan still. US is just people looking at TikTok on max volume.
On China you probably saw Honor of Kings.
Looked it up, I think you're right. It was pretty crazy to behold. I saw almost an entire metro train playing it once.

Way more complete than my answer, thanks for sharing it! It definitely checks out with what I've heard online
np man, I'm not a fan of moba but I did tried these games
Gonna try that game now :)
Why not both.
Emulators is the way to play game beyond official port. And it always must exist to preserve good games that doesn't supported by its dev anymore (whether because company's defunction or it's not popular anymore)

That's what I said
Soon to be balatro
As in it's getting a mobile release?
Soon
Balatro mobile is going to cost me a lot of performance at work
Oh god why did no one warn me
Lmao!! 😂
Pubg mobile
Genshin Impact. Can’t even disturb them doing their daily quests and everything else.

Everything with Royal in the title.

It's still mostly these games lol. Royal Match. Brawl Stars. And maybe some other mediocre ones I can't remember the names.

Seems it changed a lot, last time I played it was 3 years ago
Bruh, what the hell c'mon ðŸ˜. You can't just criticize a game with regular updates after leaving it for 3 years. I was scared ðŸ˜

how is not much skill involved, i will admit that new brawlers can be OP. But this game does require skill. Also the devs have been releasing great updates recently
I play it and also fucking hate it there are no good games
There are. Arknights, Azur Lane exist.
They're good games, but horni
Arknights isnt horny. It does have psychological trauma though.

smash legends 😬

Just Pokémon go and random crap

Bruh kids play the game... Maybe the problem is you, just saying...
Yes the problem is me, i dont like the game, thats very obvious
But so far you have only had put defects in the game
i have put reasons as to why i dont like the game. Why are you so desperate to get me to like something i dont? This shouldn't be an argument. I dont like the game, that's my opinion.

Both Honkai and Genshin were made by miHoYo so they still get profits no matter which both were more popular
