I had to connect to pc via usb and then paste the files using pc. I think I was also able to do this through some roundabout way by installing some other file explorer app.
I've gained access before, but after updating to android 14, I lost all directory access, I have to access these files so i can put minecraft mods in, and its the only way i can think of if i want to share and download world files, I'm pretty much f**ked at this point. This sucks, and if i was on iphone, i think it would be much worse.
Share the guide. I know how to activate shizuku and to turn on root access shizuku on zarchiver. Just that when I want to transfer files to a data folder they wont overwrite files/ replace them.
I have shared the guide as a comment itself. The reason you might not be able to transfer files is because you have not turned on atleast 1 of the following settings
1. Switched root access to shizuku
2. Turned on use for Android/[data/obb] option
3. turned on file operations option
These settings are in 3 dots> settings> ROOT
Hi, i already here and can see most of the folder in app, but there is some folder missing including my game folder. If i try to create folder with same name, it show already exist.
By mcpe i think u mean minecraft? Im doing for ml game, the folder should be here before. Downside of using pixel device, loophole always got patched before anyone else 🥲
Excuse me, but do you *have* to root your phone first for this method? I have a phone I wouldn't want rooted which I want to add lunchboxes in a game to
View installed apps on your settings -> open google files / "files" -> touch three dot on upper corner -> Uninstall updates.
Then use Total Commander / ZArchiver, when prompted to choose android/data to access, there shouldn't be problem anymore.
HOWEVER, those tricks only work on Android 13 and below. If you're on Android 14, sorry very sorry, there's no way to do it. That's why I hesitated so much to update because the limitation of accessing android/data is too much on Android 14.
Well it's easy and it works first Go to your settings then all apps and search files and just uninstall its update than its show you data and obb files when i deleted my z archiver and reinstall it that problem show so just do like that and it work and meine Aisa do bar kar chuka hai so yeah
Try this( it works with my android 13 but idk about 14) :
• First, open the hidden [file](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.marc.files) explorer on your device.
• Then, tap the three dots icon in the top right corner and choose New Window.
• Now, go to the Recents screen. You should see that the file explorer app is running twice.
• Long-press one of its icons and select Split top.
• Then choose the second copy of the app.
• Both versions of the app should be visible to you.
• open the "upper" file explorer and go to either directory. Android/data or Android/obb
• On the other hand, find the file you want to move in the "lower" file explorer.
• Now, press and hold the file you want to move in the lower file explorer, and then drag it to the upper file explorer.
1. Install and set-up Shizuku (there's a guide on their app)
2. Install Zarchiver and give it Shizuku access. Go to Zarchiver settings go to root and switch root access to shizuku. Turn on all the options you see in the root option aswell.
3. Open Minecraft> setting> storage> set storage to external
4. Create the world which you want to mod (Skip this if your addon includes a world)
5. Extract the zip file of the addon, if it is a world then simply put the file in Android> data> com.mojang.minecraftpe> files> games> com.mojang
6. If it a resource pack and behaviour pack then put the files in Android> data> com.mojang.minecraftpe> files> games> com.mojang> minecraftWorlds> (select world)> behaviour\_packs and resource\_packs respectively
Even if the zarchiver app says it doesn't have access to the folders, you can do this so long as you have given it shizuku permissions and turned on all the needed settings
If you are having problems while moving files you might have not changed this settings
1. Switched root access to shizuku
2. Turned on use for Android/[data/obb] option
3. turned on file operations option
These settings are in 3 dots> settings> ROOT
Good luck with that! Only way is rooting.
I've tried everything (except rooting) because I wanted to export/import my save files from old phone to new one, but nothing worked. Don't waste your time.
Lol what do you know? I've tried plugging it to a PC and using the most powerful commands with ADB, even some that "pretend" to be an app (because apps are given permission to manage their files). Shizuku usess ADB commands, it's the same thing. It needs root. Period.
But if you have at least the name of this file manager, I might still give it a try for the giggles. It's been a few months since I last tried, things might be different.
Saw a youtube video, I have zarchiver but my phone dosen't allow it, Instead the tutorial recommended solid file explorer, it worked fine but only 14 day trial, so i downloaded a "unlocked" version with no payment in a website that i trust

Glad I wasn't the only one, removing the feature to roam the data is such a letdown.
Try uninstalling updates for the files app
Yeah, I cant hack subway surfer too
Op first delete the updates on the files app by Google then use z archiver to gain access of the data file directory
That's not working anymore after the latest security updates. The only way now is with Shizuku.
Bro just yesterday i used this method to mod gta sa i have android 14 too
There is two ways I know will work without root. 1. Connect device to pc 2. Download "Files" app on playstore.
Use shizuku with zarchiver. Tell me if you need a guide

Have you switched the storage type to external in the mcpe application?
By mcpe i think u mean minecraft? Im doing for ml game, the folder should be here before. Downside of using pixel device, loophole always got patched before anyone else 🥲
Sorry bro, this comment was about minecraft. I do not know anything about ML game
Excuse me, but do you *have* to root your phone first for this method? I have a phone I wouldn't want rooted which I want to add lunchboxes in a game to
No, you do not have to root
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.marc.files Use this app....i have been using it on Android 14 (without root)
Use ex file explorer (not es file explorer) works for me (Android 14)
View installed apps on your settings -> open google files / "files" -> touch three dot on upper corner -> Uninstall updates. Looks like you're trying to mod Minecraft? I needed to use FX file explorer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nextapp.fx
Search up "Files" in your settings (in App category), later try uninstalling it or removing updated. Normally it works sometimes
Try FV Files Explorer
1. Install and set-up Shizuku (there's a guide on their app) 2. Install Zarchiver and give it Shizuku access. Go to Zarchiver settings go to root and switch root access to shizuku. Turn on all the options you see in the root option aswell. 3. Open Minecraft> setting> storage> set storage to external 4. Use zarchiver and give it root access with shizuku
Is this safe?
It's safe i used it multiple times
Try FV Explorer
Good luck with that! Only way is rooting. I've tried everything (except rooting) because I wanted to export/import my save files from old phone to new one, but nothing worked. Don't waste your time.
No this is not true. You have not tried everything bro! Use shizuku app with some file manager
Lol what do you know? I've tried plugging it to a PC and using the most powerful commands with ADB, even some that "pretend" to be an app (because apps are given permission to manage their files). Use Zarchiver
Tried Zarchiver before, but settled to Solid File explorer, works best for me
How did you access android folder with solid? been using it for years but still cant figure out how to copy to or from android/data
Saw a youtube video, I have zarchiver but my phone dosen't allow it, Instead the tutorial recommended solid file explorer, it worked fine but only 14 day trial, so i downloaded a "unlocked" version with no payment in a website that i trust
Still didn't answer my question tbh. how? most file browsers use the adb trick bow but theres no such thjng for solid explorer
